chapter 43: Christmas party pt2

Mia POV

Gia gave me Mani's business card and said nothing to me, I'm angry because she spoke to Mani.
Now it was time to give one another gifts. And as girls we decided to give the boys icebox watches because we didn't know what to get for them. Charlotte got engaged and Gia got a Rolex watch, both Mian and I got bmw gifts from her daddy. Tali gave Amir a box and we watched as he unwrapped it.

"oh shit" he said jumping all excited
"Baby is this true" he asked
"Yes baby I even confirmed it with doctor" Tali said and that's when I knew she was pregnant
"Thank you babe, I love you so much this is the best gift I ever got today" Amir said hugging her tight
We all congratulated Tali and went to the movie room to watch movies.
The movie was over and I decided to have a little talk with  Amir before I go sleep.
"Amir I need an advise" I said to him "I have sister who left me alone 6 years ago and now she wants to explain to me why she did that and I just don't know what to do" I continued
"uhm I think you should just hear her out and you'll take it from there if you wanna talk to her again or not" he said
"okay coolies I'll send her a text and ask her to meet up with me" I said and we said our goodbyes both heading to our bedrooms to sleep.

I woke up early today and prepared breakfast for everyone.

After having a breakfast I went upstairs to take a shower because I had to go meet with my sister Mani today. I took a long shower and came out, still deciding on what I should wear. Finally I found something to wear.
I made way to Neo coffee bar In my new car and I found waiting for me there already, I took a sit without hugging her.
"hey" she said
"hi" I said
"why did leave me in Miami alone" I asked because that's what I came here for.
"Oh okay straight to the point, Uhm 6 years ago when our parents passed on I knew that as the the oldest sister I knew I had to take care of you, so I applied for a job in Las Vegas and I knew if told you, you would freak out and I wouldn't be able to work for us. Look the plan was to go to Las Vegas to make money and come take you with us. Have you ever asked yourself where Gia's gave you money every month that's because I used to send it for you. I met a guy in Las Vegas and he used to hit me even for doing a small things he would even refuse when I wanted to come Miami , He almost killed me and I can't have kids because of him now. But in that process current fiance saved my life and I came back to Miami to take you with me but you were there, I looked for you and Gia everywhere until I saw you yesterday" she said holding her tears, I stood up and hugged her
"I'm sorry for being angry at you, I didn't know what you went through" I said wiping my tears
"it's fine baby sis" she said
"Whoever that abused you is he arrested now?" I asked
"Nope I he's not, I had he killed his baby mama few months back" she said
"wait are you talking about Mateo Cole?" I asked
"Yes but how do you know him?" she asked
"Well he almost killed me too" I said
We spoke about life and I told her about Mian and everyone and she was happy.
