Hello! Sorry, it's been a minute. I've been piecing this together with the little time I've had off. Will have to do the same with the next chapter until I get a full day off from work and school. Anyway...

Vanilla couldn't even begin to comprehend what he just witnessed. He's pretty sure the combined stress and shock were going to have him keeling over any day now. At least he could have the silver lining of knowing he wouldn't be receiving any other surprise guests any time soon. The machine was completely destroyed along with any and all records that had been kept in the lab. This didn't do much to ease the workload he was currently stuck with, however.

Vanilla continued to stare blankly through the nightmare version of himself who simply stood stock still where the human left him, his singly blood red eyelight practically filling his socket. Vanilla should have known from this version's appearance alone that doing anything more than moving him would have brought severe consequences, but he needed to know what kind of danger he was dealing with.

It was just a quick CHECK but the moment Vanilla's magic brushed the dust-covered body of the unconscious monster he snapped awake with all the rage of a starved animal. If Vanilla didn't have Red by his side to take the brunt of the blow he would have been dusted on the spot. The commotion and dense intent had the Papyrus double, who shared so many parallels with his own bro that it tore into Vanilla's soul, alert and rattling in fear with his new surroundings and new faces.

They were all lucky that the human had stepped in when she did, but her intervention didn't put Vanilla at ease in the slightest. It was obvious from her movements that she was still having trouble walking but in the short time since she had woken up to when she faced off against his starved double she had regained enough motor skills to dodge...maybe not dodge well but still.

"So, Vanilla." he could help but groan at the sound of Nox's voice, "If we could continue our discussions before we were so rudely interrupted?"

"whas there to even discuss?" Vanilla sighed, massaging his browbones in disdain, "ya already got full reign o' the house. I can't give ya more than that."

Nox let out a huff of a laugh, "I assure you, I don't need your permission to do as I please. This discussion is to enhance our mutual circumstances in this house."

"I highly doubt that."

"Well as doubtful as it may be it's the truth. I don't enjoy being crammed in this hovel with the likes of you as much as you do if not more. And I know you need help with that scamming human you call a realtor." Nox stated snidely, picking lint from his steam-pressed jacket.

"that's none of yer business bub." Vanilla snapped. Nox's laid-back and nonchalant attitude about something Vanilla had been stressing over for weeks was getting on his already fried nerves.

"Oh but it is." Nox smirked, his words dripping from his mouth like sweet venom. He had begun to slowly circle Vanilla like a predator toying with prey, "In fact, I do believe it is all of our business. But," he stopped, side-eyeing Vanilla with a wicked spark in his sockets, "I can easily make this problem disappear and even set us up with better accommodations."

"ya can't kill the human, Nox." Vanilla deadpanned, dragging his palm down his face.

"Oh come now! I'm not a barbarian, that's the crimson duo's forte. No, what I plan to do is perfectly legal, I just need a few things from you." he waited a few moments as Vanilla's resolve began to slip, "And mind you, I didn't have to ask or go through these pleasantries. Mutt easily could have taken the paperwork I needed but with the addition of a new variable I decided it best to bring my plan to your attention."
