Kalice got to the house and sat outside in the backyard alone for a while..pito sat with her.
"Oh hi pito."
"I made you some coco." Pito said cheerfully.
"Thank you.. where's Owen?"
"He is in the polar and he looks upset."
"What happened?" Kalice asked with such worry And alertness.
"He asked me not to tell you misses Kalice."
"Okay well I will have some coco in the polar." Kalice said getting up and going into the house. She knocked on the polar. Owen knew that knock anywhere he quickly put on his mask and told her to come in. She came in looking as gorgeous as usual but he Saw the worry in her eyes.
"You know I like the movie the phantom of the opera..it reminds me a lot of you when you hide your handsome face." Kalice said with a smile. She kissed his forehead and sat next to him.. She examined his hands. They had gloves on them.
"What?"
"If you won't talk I won't ask." Kalice whispered to him as pito bought the coco for the two. She thanked him and made sure he made some for himself. Kalice sipped her's and stared at Owen.
"Mmmh mmmh mmmh. This is real good you should try it Love it's amazing." Kalice said smacking her lips. Owen rolled his eyes knowing what she was doing. He took off his mask. Kalice's eyes grew with flame's. "Oh Owen who did this to you?" Kalice said touching his face. She got up and grabbed the first aid kit in worry. Her Heart raced rapidly.
"Baby I'm fine."
"No your Not!" Kalice scolded and Owen stayed quiet and let her take care of him. She grabbed his hands and took off the glove's and Began nursing his bruised hand's. Kalice couldn't help but begin to cry.
"Sshhh. I'm fine Kalice."
"No your not And I feel so stupid leaving you alone all the time. I can't protect you from home. I'm useless here."
"Don't say that."
"It's true. You treat me like a queen and you get your ass beat is that cool to you?!" Kalice asked getting upset and he looked at her in a demanding way for her to calm down. She sighed and apologized. "I'm sorry. But I don't like seeing you like this."
"That's why I didn't want you to see it."
"I don't like it . But that doesn't mean I shouldn't know about it. What happened to us being honest with each other or does that not matter in the rules anymore?" Kalice asked and Owen couldn't be mad at that.
"Your right. It does matter.. I'm sorry." Owen said and She hugged him. Owen stroked her hair kissing her forehead. "What did Jason want to see you about?"
"I can't tell you. I think My problem isn't as bad as yours." Kalice replied holding Owen. Owen didn't ask anymore. He fell asleep in kalice's embrace. She made sure he was okay cleaning his wounds all night and She fell asleep on the chair. Owen woke up and noticed her. He picked her up and carried her to bed she mumbled in her sleep saying "I'll protect you." Owen kissed her forehead getting into bed with her after getting dressed for bed. He held her close.
"I'll let you protect me. I'll protect you." Owen whispered to her. Kalice's eyes opened and Saw Owen over her. She sat up startled.
"Your awake your supposed to be resting." Kalice mumbled rubbing her eye's. Owen lay her back. "Wen!" Kalice wined.
"I'm resting when you rest. So I'll sleep if you sleep." Owen bribed. She nodded and waited for Owen to close his eyes. She shut her eyes as he did. "God I love you." Owen sighed staring at the sleeping girl .

Owen let Kalice sleep in. He got up extra early because Nora was coming over. He Saw her as his mother in law already so he wanted to have everything perfect. Kalice told him Nora doesn't care for those things but he ignored it. Nora knocked on the door in a casual attire. Pito opened the door for her as the bodyguard boe escorted her inside.
"How are you two doing?"
"Good. You Mrs Noble?"
"I'm troubled but I'm alright. How's the count and countess?"
"He let Mistress Kalice sleep in while he's doing some paperwork ma'am." Pito explained. Nora nodded and took off her jacket.
"Come. Help me with breakfast darling." Nora told pito. He cleared his throat And obeyed. Nora was really gentle with the bodyguards like her daughters. "Mmh this is amazing Perfecto mi amor glacias dios." Nora said meaning (perfection my Love, thank God.) She then took the plate to the study. She knocked on the door and Owen said come in . Nora came in.
"Hello son."
"Wasn't expecting you This early." Owen said getting her a chair she set their plates at the table while pito brought the juice. "You made breakfast?"
"Um.... Mrs Noble insisted."
"I wasn't hungry."
"No I won't hear that nonsense darling eat . Thank you pito." Nora said gracefully. Pito left the room leaving them alone. She urged Owen to taste it. He cut into the omlet and he about passed out from the wonderful taste. "See . "
"I suppose you were right."
"I always am about my children. Just like I know there's something going on with you." Nora said and Owen slowly bit into a waffle. He was surprised. "You eat and I'll speak." Nora offered and Owen couldn't really say no to her so he just continued biting into the omlet.
"I suppose Kalice told you about what's happening this week." Nora asked. He shook his head. "I see. I suppose it has to do with your eye and your swollen jaw with the dry blood on your lips." Nora said. She arose having a look at it touching his jaw making him jump in pain. "Hmm. Your father in law used to come home like That. He'd pretend nothing's wrong and he was in unbearable pain. Be more careful son. Or I'll handle some business myself. Just ask and I'll handle it. I don't play games about my children." Nora said heading back to her chair and sat. Owen was fascinated by her powerful Aura. She looked exactly like a queen. "About kalice's situation. She's going to Belton with us to visit Margie her grandmother." Owen looked up at her dropping his fork.
"I think I just Lost my appetite.... mother." Owen said and Nora did a light giggle.
"Oh trust me I did as well. It would've ruined my breakfast but Jason made me eat before he told me the situation."
"What exactly is the situation?"
"She made a deal with your boss as usual my mother is More cowardly then courageous when it comes to her family. " Nora said pouring some juice in her wine glass.
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"I am too. I've been sorry my entire life but it's The mother God gave me I can't change the DNA ." Nora told Owen. Owen Saw so much hurt in her eyes . "But I did break a generational curse. The curse of disloyalty in the family. I and Jason have taught togetherness to them and they are doing just fine."
"Yeah they are."
"What about you?" Nora asked.
"Me?" Owen asked shocked and shy.
"I know there's something more to Owen Trevor Newton. It can't just be 412 ." Nora told him.
"One day I'll tell you." Owen assured her.
"Alright. Take your time darling." Nora gently held his hand.. Owen felt so loved by her it made him feel special.
"Why now? If you mind me asking." Owen asked pouring some more juice in her glass after she finished.
"I'll be sure to ask her that because I have no idea. I just know she's using my children against me like it's a game and I have a bone to pick with her because if they take them.....the wildcat will be back and she will not sleep until she gets back her children." Nora said determined and Owen had chills down his spine. He saw the fire Jason often talked about in her eyes it was surreal.
