Layla walked in the house with Leon next to her.
"Hi guy's. She's ready Now." Leon said nudging her to Walk into house More. She walked in and Jason, nora, Kalice, Kalvin, And Katherine were sitting in the living room.
"Come here baby." Katherine said to Layla reaching for her. Layla took her hand and sat her next to her. "It's my understandin you don't wanna go see your grandma?"
"No ma'am.. it's very hard nana." " Layla admitted to Katherine.
"Alright then Child. We're not gonna Make you go if you don't want to. You can stay with your mama and me today." Katherine said. Jason stood with Kalvin and Kalice. "Be careful on the road son."
"Mom I know." Jason said kissing her forehead with Kalice And Kalvin hugging her.
"Nana can you guys make that pasta I like?" Kalvin asked. Katherine chuckled.
"I'll see what I can do grandbaby."
"Thanks." Kalvin said leaving with Jason Kalice then hugged Layla.
"You can do it sis.. you've been strong all these years. And 21 is a long time! You have faced David and Katie and other things This can't be any different lay I can't go without you...or you mother." Kalice said going to Nora. Katherine let her speak hoping they would go but the two were silent it Made Kalice sad.
"Kalice I'm fine go on." Nora assured her daughter holding her hands. Kalice slowly Walked towards the door until Katherine called her.
"Granddaughter come here." Katherine said and Kalice went to her. "You did all you could..I can take it from here sugar plumb." Katherine said hugging her.. Kalice finally left with the boys leaving Nora and Layla home. Norson came running out of the kitchen with his face in a pouting expression.
"Nana.... can I have a cookie?" Norson asked and Katherine couldn't help but laugh. The boy had Jason's personality all together. He had a Cookie in his pocket and Katherine knew it.
"Yes you may."
"Tank you nana!" Norson went to the kitchen taking the cookie from his pocket and pretending to get one and came back. Katherine crossed her arm's fascinated by his cleverness. Nora watched her son with scolding eyes. Norson Looked at Nora with puppy dog eyes. "Hi Mommy."
"Hi son."
*Do you wah One?" Norson asked her and nora's heart was stolen.
"Yes I'll Take One." Nora said wanting to hold her son tightly he was as cute as could be. Jason had a little twin and She loved all of her children as if they were little Jason's. "Hurry back muffin." He came back with the heavy cookie jar of cookies. Katherine arose helping him with it.
"Here mommy."
"Thank you baby." Nora said reaching for him. He Sat on her lap. She snuggled him in her arms making him giggle. Katherine Saw Nora was a very loving mother to All of them. She would put them all in a jar of she could to protect all of them. Katherine then began to speak with Nora.
"Tell me daughter in law. You feeling alright?"
"I'm taking medication to help me sleep but..... I'm still a little stressed it's gonna Take a while." Nora told her.
"Oh I know I've had a miscarriage myself. After Travis was born....I was supposed to have a boy. But I Am anemic so it's kinda hard ta produce babies without complications. "
"So sorry for your loss mother."
"It's alright my daughter. Jason is like my second chance and as I'm still living I think I'm fine with just that." Katherine said grabbing a Cookie. She was a beautiful woman to Nora. She didn't look 50. Katherine carried herself well. "Let's cook something for dinner."
