Once we arrived at the place, I jumped out and ran to Ricky's car. Connor was getting out when I tackled him in a hug.
"Please don't ever make me ride with them again without you!!" I begged. I still had that horrible feeling in my stomach.
"Alright alright. Let's just go eat." He replied hugging me. I let him go and walked behind all of the boys into the pizza place.
The place was big and smelled like little kids. It was better than some things I had experienced in the orphanage so I wasn't going to complain.
I followed the boys who were heading to a table in the back. We all sat down. The table was a round booth. Kian pushed me onto the seat and forced me to move to the center.
I went along with it and the boys ordered the pizza and the waitress brought 2 pitchers of coke to the table along with seven glasses full of ice and our pizzas.
Connor poured me a drink and handed me a plate with pizza. I smiled and stared at it. My stomach was not feeling very well. I don't know why. It started feeling this way after Connor told me to ride with Kian and Sam. It's really weird!
I stared at my plate and took a few sips of the coke. All of the boys were engaged in conversations so I just sat there.
Jc turned and looked at me. He mouthed 'Is something wrong?' I shook my head no and he smiled and went back to listening to Kian tell a story about almost drowning in a pool full of hot girls.
"Seriously, dude, it was awesome. The really hot blonde girl pulled me up to the surface." Kiam blabbed. I couldn't take it anymore. I climbed under the table and made my way to the arcade. It's not like they would realize I was gone.
I walked into the arcade room and was amazed at how many machines I saw.
*****
It's been a few hours since I've heard from the boys. I just used up the last of my money and I have won a teddy bear, some candy, and plenty of high score rankings on just about all of the games in the room. I decide to go see if the boys are still here.
I make my way from the arcade with my stuff in hand and find a different family sitting at the booth that me and the boys were seated. Okay I'm officially confused.
"Um excuse me." I said glancimg around at the unfamiliar faces sitting at the booth.
"Yes, dear." The older woman politely said.
"Do you happen to know where the people that were sitting here are? There were 6 teenage boys."
"No, but do you need some help finding them?" The man asked.
"No thanks. Thanks anyways." I shook the man's hand and smiled at him. He seemed really nice. I walked away and turned back to the family. They were joking around, laughing, eating pizza, and having the best time of their lives.
I walked to the parkimg lot and reality hit me in the face hard. The boys left me. My own father left me. Trevor left me. My brothers left me.
Maybe that was their plan. To rescue a girl from an orphanage and then leave her stranded in LA for someone else to take care of.
No Connor wouldn't do that. Or would he? No he couldn't. But he did. And Trevor, I thought he was better than that. Maybe I should stay here in case they come back. Why would they come back for someone like me? They left me here for a reason.
I checked the parking lot for their cars and just as I had thought, they weren't there. They really left me here. That feeling in my stomach is coming back. And it's coming back hard.
I think I might throw up, I thought to myself. I ran back into the bulding and to the restroom. I ran into a stall and leaned over the toilet, but nothing came out. I just stared at the toilet, feeling my stomach tighten.
*****
"Ma'am, Ma'am, Ma'am. Excuse me?" I felt someone tap on my shoulder.
"Yes?" I sat up. I was sleeping on the floor of the bathroom.
"It's closing time. I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." A woman pushing a janitor cart told me.
"Yes ma'am I understand." I stood up and washed my hands while the lady started cleaning the toilet.
I walked out of the bathroom and a man handed me a piece of pizza.
"This was a leftover. Want it?"
"Sure. Thanks!"
"No problem." I took the pizza and walked outside. I have no idea what to do. I didn't pay attention on the ride here so I don't know my way back. Plus I don't know Los Angeles. This is my first day!!
I pulled out my phone and unlocked it. The picture of me and Trev was there. I ignored it and dialed Connor's number.
No answer.
I dialed Trevor's number.
No answer.
I tried Kian's number.
No answer.
I even tried Jc's number.
No answer.
