The Guardian of Light (A Ninjago Fanfic)

Level 13

The team and I soon reached Borg Tower with Pixal this time to ask him if he can figure out the problem with Prime Empire and help us get the disappeared citizens back in Ninjago.

"I really hope Cyrus Borg's figured out what's going on with that game we found at the Mechanic's lair." Hoped Lloyd as we entered the elevator to get on the top floor.

"Welcome to floor 100." Said an automated voice.

"Ah, ninja. Your little game has kept me quite busy." Greeted Borg.

"What have you discovered?" Asked Nya.

"A new appreciation for the designer, Milton Dyer." Stated Borg as we followed him to where he kept an arcade game to inspect it.

"He designed a pretty killer security system on Dyer Island, too." Said Kai as I smiled next to him.

"M-more impressive then me...?" Asked Brog stammering a bit.

"K.S is right! It was actually super cool and creative! Must have also thought about using the environment to his advantage! Really impressive! It even has robot dogs! EEH! They were SO cute!" I smiled before squealing a bit.

Borg soon made a face meaning that he was a bit taken aback that someone had a security system that cool as he soon changed the subject making Kai snicker a bit before I elbowed his chest.

"I've run diagnostics on the cabinet and this game is far more complex than anything I've seen. Even more than my ill-dated Digiverse. It's a virtual world, made up of different zones, inside the game." Informed Borg as he soon showed us the many zones in the game.

"So Jay's in one of those zones?" Asked Nya.

"Not just Jay. The game's player count has exploded. Over 800 players...are now trapped inside the game." Replied Borg as me and Nya shared a look and a gasp.

"All the people who reached level 13 and disappeared into the cabinet!" Said Kai as he was looking at the arcade game.

"The world inside, Prime Empire is controlled by Unagami." Stated Borg showing a picture of the symbol.

"And Unagami is Milton Dyer." Added Zane.

"Which means there are two ways to deal with this. Find Dyer in real life, and stop him, or...enter the game, just like Jay did, and stop Dyer's avatar, Unagami." Stated Borg.

"I think we should divide up and go for both at the same time." Stated Lloyd as I nodded, "We'll cover more ground in real life and in game."

"I'm afraid Zane and Pixal cannot enter the game. The Prime Empire code is so complex, it could overwrite your programming." Informed sadly Borg.

Pixal and Zane soon held some scared faces, "I like my ones and zeros just the way they are, thank you." Answered Pixal as Zane held her shoulder.

"Then we'll stay here and track down Dyer in real life." Stated Zane.

"And I'm gonna reach level 13 and crack this baby wide open!" Said Cole as I gave him an indescribable face.

"Oh...'Cause the cabinet can open-oh...I get it..." I muttered.

We heard a small beep meaning someone was using the elevator, I ran to a screen to show it to the others.

"How did the Mechanic get out of Kryptarium? And there's Captain Soto, and Ultra Violet..." pointed out Zane.

"They must've broken out of prison, but why did they come here...?" Asked Nya as Borg soon powered down the elevator.

The criminals were using the stairs and heading up the tower.
