[×] Chapter 2; 'Meeting the Doctor.' [×]

It wasn't your first raid on site, of course, you worked for C.I. for some years now. But you feeled like this one is going to be different, no, a lot different. But there you are, getting out of the car with your friends soon following right in front of the horror keeping-in laboratory. All four of you got your guns out and ready for everything, slowly going up the stairs and then into the elevator. Pandora clicked the button for the elevator to go to lower parts of the site. When the elevator stopped, your team and you shot your guns up to be ready for a suspected attack, but there was nothing. You let out the air you were holding in relief, and got out of the elevator after your teammates. After you joined the team in the depressing room, you looked around 'scanning' the room to make sure nothing interesting for your team was there to steal. Luckly enough it seems some security guard died here due to someone attacking him with a knife, leaving a bloody wound on their throat. You came closer and crouched next to the corpse to inspect it while your teammates were making sure it was safe for now. Person who took out the guard took their gun and some other important stuff for them. After making sure it has nothing important from your list to get from the site, you again looked around and this time you noticed a box of pills lying opened up, some red pills were lying around it. You stood up and came close to it to inspect what it is truely, when you were close you crouched down and took the small box in your hands, looking closely at it. On the box was written 'Panacea'. 'Bingo!' you thought. You picked up the rest of the pills, got them in the box and closed it.

-Nearly whole box of Panacea pills. Would you look at that! They were just lying here at the entrance! -  You laughed while showing them the box.

- Seems like we are going to only get the jade ring now. - Pandora looked at you, her gas mask had red glasses not dark gray like the rest of her teammates, of course meaning she is the leader. You could feel her smiling behind that mask, then you all were on the way to get further into the site.

It was pretty chill for now, the red lights and quiet siren are calming you down, making you focus on the mission even more. You didn't encounter a single anomaly or even a D-class. It was quiet, to quiet actually, like something was going to happen. Then, you hear someone's steps. It's either a D-class, janitor, scientist, engineer, an anomaly or other foundation worker. All of you got your guns out in the air, pointing at the right corridor, where the sound was coming. The sound of footsteps stopped, and there was silence, which Derik ended.

-Who is there? I swear if you are working with these freaks, we will shoot you on sight if you come out. - Derik growled, being dead serious about killing them.

- If tested on is considered working with them, then yes. - The mysterious person said while walking out of the non visible corridor from the right.

They had an orange jumpsuit on, but there was something very wrong about them, it was the mask that they had on their face. Their shining purple 'eyes' in the mask's eye holes looked at each one of your team and landing on you, you got your finger ready to shoot if the masked d-class or, the possessive mask what the foundation is calling him does a bad move. Then he looked back at your team leader. Who got a few aggressive steps closer to be in front of your team. The silence between them was there for a few seconds.

- Aren't ya' wanna talk? We surely can talk this out. - The mask dude spoke again with a somewhat calm voice.

We looked at eachother with confusion. 'Is he tricking us or is he trying to distract us?' you said in ur mind, then looked around, first the corridor in front of you all, then behind you all. You saw two golden glowing in the dark eyes, trying to sneak on your team. When the mask realized you knew what was going on, he tried his best to get your attention back on him, but you ignored him and pointed your gun at the two eyes what also realized what is going on and stopped coming closer.

- Dude tried to distract us from his fella trying to get us from behind! - You growled while still keeping an eye on another mysterious thing. As soon as you said that, the team started shooting at the mask who quickly ran behind a wall.

Something was trying to stop you from shooting the mysterious thing. Its eyes were somewhat calming and you became confused again. You looked over at your teammates fighting with the mask's tendrils, they were losing and F/N was trying to get out from the hug of the warping around her tendril. Then one of the tendrils was speeding at you with high speeds, you juked and then had some time to get the gun on your back, then get the knife out of ur pocket before it recovers from hitting a hard ground and slice the tendril's tip of it before it had chance to attack you again making it

go back where it belongs, to the ground. Then, you ran over to F/N to help her get out of the hug of the tendril. F/N thanked you and you said it was not a problem. Mask wasn't happy that with you, your team was winning so he started focussing on you, sending more and more tendrils to get you tired down or badly injured while Pandora had slowly enough of these tendrils. Soon, she came in rage, getting out her knife and now instead of shotting the tendrils, she started slicing the fuck out of them and then tackling the mask, pinning him to the ground with one hand, making also sure to get the knife close to the mask. You tapped Pandora's shoulder to get her attention.

-We got this bastard pinned to the ground, but what about the other dude who was sneaking up on us? - As soon as you finished you heard a body dropping on the ground next to you and you looked over at it.

It was Derik, he didn't move, he was either knocked out or dead. Then you looked at the reason why he was lying there. It was the Plague Doctor. Your eyes widened a little because it took you with a big surprise, you heard about him before from your base-mates and you also heard that his touch is deadly. You stood up as soon as you saw him, trying to get your gun out and pointing it at him nearly panicked, slowly walking backwards. 'I should have realized it was him from the start, standing there in the hallway!' you growled at yourself in your mind. Pandora realized what was going on, and she knew that in this situation it is better for her to let go of the mask and also walk away to make distance and point the gun at the plague doctor. F/N was behind you both since she was the important one.

- Gosh, I wish that you all were as scared of me as you are scared of doc. - The mask stood up, giggling as all three of you seemed panicked while the plague doctor operated on your now dead for sure friend with silence.

When he ended the operation, he stood up and looked back at all three of you.

- Not so talkative are ya' guys? - Mask widely smiled, getting close to the plague doctor who didn't pay attention to him. He was looking at you, you could feel it.

- Agent Discord, we came here to get some anomalous objects, not to fight with a fucking tendril controling mask and a plague doctor with death touch! We should leave them alone before we lose another member! - You whisper-yelled at Pandora, she turned to face you and sighed while the two anomalies were still looking at the three of you.

- Maybe you are right. - She whispered back with irritation in her voice. - You know what? - She asked them while getting her gun down, taking all the attention from the anomalies right in front of you all. - What about we will go our separate ways and not bother each other? - Pandora waited for the answer from at least one of the anomalies.

- Hm. - Mask started to think, but the answer you three waited for was from the plague doctor who you could tell that he didn't talk.

- Since I didn't sense any Pestilence in the rest of you, we can surely leave eachother alone. - His voice was somehow nice and calming. The mask got a little angry that the plague doctor gave the answer faster than him.

Then both your team and the two anomalies walked away from each other, of course in the seperate ways.

(1558 words. Here is a note from the private time: Haha, awkward laughter... I think I still can't feel into our dear Plague Doctor as you can see, but there is a chance that I will probably feel into him in the future! (ofc that happend) And also don't worry, y'all will meet the duo again. )
