[×] Chapter 5; 'Feels like I am missing someone now.' [×]

'I don't like this feeling, it feels  like I am missing someone. I could miss Derik, but I miss someone even more than him. I don't know who they could be, but it feels like I had met them before. What if it was the Plague Doctor? No, he is an anomaly! I shouldn't miss him. But it feels like I am right…. God damn it Y/N! Stop thinking about him!' I thought, leaving my thoughts in pure confusion, like myself.

Then, a knock on my door made me jump.

-Come in!- I yelled and Pandora came in, handing over a letter.  -What is this?- I asked, looking at Pandora.

-A letter, dummy. Open up and see.- Pandora said, giggling at the nickname.

-Hm.- I opened the letter ignorong the nickname and saw that I needed to show up at Derik's funeral since I was his friend, and also his teammate. -Oh.. Don't worry, I will come. - I said to her, what made her smile.

-So, how is life? - She asked, she was still smiling.

-Weird. I feel like I am missing someone, but that someone isn't Derik. Because I miss him less than that someone. - I said in a confused tone.

-Ooh~? Is that Plague doctor??- Pandora said in a weird Polish accent.

-I don't know exactly who they could be. But it could be him by chance. - I answered, but said the last sentence was quieter than the rest.

-I heard that!- She yelled. -Could it be falling in love with him??- She said, making me feel a little warm feeling on my cheeks.

-What? No! Why would I fall in love with an anomaly!- I yelled at her, making her smile even more. 'Or it really could be, was I really falling in love with an anomaly?' My thoughts were interrupted by Pandora.

-Suuure, then why are you blushing?- She sat down next to me on my bed while she said.

-Listen, I don't know what is happening, but I can assure you, I am not falling in love! I am just confused by the feeling of missing someone important.- I said, even when I wasn't sure about the 'not falling in love' part.

-Hm, we could test it after the funeral.- She offered, making me confused.

-What do you mean by that?- I asked.

-Boss said to me, that me, you and F/N can have a few days of break from work after the funeral, we can visit the villages that are close by to the site that we raided the day before. By chance, we could come across him~. - She explained, making me hype a little.

-Sure why not.- I smiled even wider after saying that.

-Alright! I will ask F/N if she will come also!- She hyped and ran out of the room. Leaving me alone again in the room.

The feeling of missing someone important changed into a very big excitement about meeting him again.

-I swear, what is happening to me is so weird. - I said to myself quietly.

After some minutes of drawing birds, I heard something from my radio.

-To all groups available, please report to the north gate, we are about to be attacked by the Foundation.- A voice of the head leader said, making me widen my eyes and fastly wear the chaos insurgency soldiers outfit, then rushing to the north gate.

I saw most of the groups ready to take the attack, but then it hit me, the other gates were not protected. I rushed to Pandora who was next to her adoptive dad, the head leader.

-What about the other gates?- I said, while taking gaps for gasp of air.

-Shit. We forgot about the other gates! Crows, can you go to the west gate? - Head leader said, and we nodded. - Great! Go fast there now!- Head leader yelled, and we ran there to make sure it was protected.

After a while, we were attacked, but we protected the base well. Some of them really had gone to other gates, but they were quickly ambushed by our soilders and taken down. None of them got in, and there were only a few injuries.

I sighned in relief after all of this was over, if there will be another attack on our base, we will be forced to abondom the base and look for a perfect place for a camp, while head leader will be looking for a perfect place for another secret base.

All groups returned to their stuff what they were doing. I had gone to my room, to listen to some music while I draw and maybe thinking about some stuff.

Sorry for the short chapter, but uh look! It's a book that I actually will come back to very often, not like my other, cringy Polish books. I still can't believe how X Reader with plague boi was a good idea to end the boredom.
