Eclipse walked around his room, holding warm clothes. His packs them in his backpack, his black hair falling over his face. Downstairs, he could hear his parents shouting at each other. About what, he didn't know, but he knew that they needed to get away. Behind him, sitting on his bed with his backpack on, Lunar was double checking that he had everything.

"I'm all packed," Lunar says, after a moment of silence.

Eclipse doesn't spare a look back at him as he says, "Even your scissors?"

"Yup!" Lunar pops his p and Eclipse could feel his little brother's smile from the other side of the room.

"You're so bright," Eclipse mutters, making Lunar laugh. He looks at him. "Go check on Sun and Moon."

"Alright," Lunar replies. Eclipse listens as the bedroom door opens and closes, then he continues packing his backpack. Some snacks he snuck up here, a water bottle, and a lighter that he took from his father. Inside the bag already were clothes and toiletries. He picks up a blanket from his bed and noticed that Lunar's star blanket was gone. He assumed that his little brother took it with him.

Eclipse exits his room and walks over to Sun and Moon's shared room. He knocks their code, two short knocks and a long knock, on the door. The door opens up and Eclipse sees Sun standing there. All happiness that usually rested on his younger brother's face was gone. Their eyes were red from crying, his expression taking a look of somber, and a red handprint rested below his right eye.

Eclipse kneels down in front of his younger brother. "What happened, Sunny?" He asks the younger. Sun hugs him, tears falling down their face.

"Mommy insulted me, grabbed Moon, and hit us!" The younger cries. Eclipse rubs circles on his little brother's back. The door opens more to reveal Lunar and Moon standing there. Eclipse felt pity arise as he looks at his youngest brother.  Much like Sun, Moon had a red handprint under his eye, only it was his left eye.

Eclipse sighs and stands up. "Everyone got everything?" Lunar, Sun, and Moon all nod and Eclipse smiles. "Then let's get out of here. Try to be as quiet as possible. Sun and Moon, make sure you are holding either mine or Lunar's hands no matter what."

"Yes, Eclipse," Sun and Moon said unanimously. Eclipse leads the way out of Sun and Moon's room and over to the stairs. As he starts walking down the stairs, the stairs creaked slightly. Slowly, he kept going until he reached the floor. Moon, who was right behind him, grabs onto his hand. Eclipse picks his little brother up and quickly but quietly runs towards the door. He grabs the doorknob and silently opens the door. Stepping outside, he breathes in the fresh air and places Moon on the ground. A few seconds later, Lunar and Sun had stepped outside, holding hands. Sun lets go of Lunar's hand and runs over to Eclipse and Moon, hugging Moon tightly. Lunar closes the door quietly and joins them.

Eclipse walks over to Lunar. "Did they see you?" Lunar shakes his head and Eclipse noticed that his brother was trembling. "What's wrong?"

"I heard them talking about me. They called me a freak for being trans. They keep calling me by that name," Lunar says, his voice quiet. As the four began to walk away from the house, Eclipse wraps his arm around Lunar's shoulders. They stayed silent until they were in a nearby park.

Eclipse sighs in relief and sits down in an area with a lot of trees. He says in a hushed voice, "Okay, you can talk, but be somewhat quiet. We don't want to attract attention."

Sun, Moon, and Lunar nodded silently and site down, before Sun said, "Are we far enough?"

"From home, yes, we are. From around the area, no. Like I said, be careful," Eclipse says. He looks at Lunar. "Do you have any snacks?"
