"An earthly kingdom cannot exist without inequality of persons. Some must be free, some serfs, some rulers, some subjects." - Martin Luther

You could listen to Spencer talk for hours about anything and everything. You may not understand it all, but just the sound of his voice makes you feel at home and safe. Derek, Emily, and JJ may not understand or even be interested in any of it, but you'll always be his number one fan.

"A popular theory among leading astrophysicists estimates that the hyper matter reactor would need about ten to the thirty-second jewels of energy to destroy a planet the size of Earth. Now, Lucas said it took nineteen years to build the first death star, right? But if you look at the new essential chronology, there's a testbed prototype for a super laser that spans—" Derek shakes his head and stands up, already walking away from Spencer. "Where are you going?

"Taking back the last five minutes of my life."

Derek looks over to you who has heart eyes at Spencer. He truly doesn't understand, but he's glad Pretty Boy found someone interested in the things he has to say.

"It would have taken him a lot less time to build the first death star based on the technology that he had, right?" you ask.

"Understood all of that?" Emily asks in shock.

"What, you don't?"

"You're both weird," Derek shakes his head and starts to leave the bullpen.

Spencer frowns at his comment, and you scoot closer to him in your chair.

"He's my weirdo," you grin and look up at Spencer with a loving smile, "and I love him."

Spencer turns that frown upside down and leans down to kiss you. You keep it short and sweet, but nothing short of loving.

"You two are so cute," JJ comments with a smile as she passes by you.

You pull away from him and notice Derek isn't with you anymore. He is by Gideon's old office which is now Rossi's office.

"You can't go in there," Spencer says, already out of his seat.

You, Emily, Derek, and Spencer all head over to Rossi's office and enter with caution. There are unpacked boxes stacked in the middle of the room with the walls bare as can be.

"Don't you want to know about this guy?" Derek asks.

"I do," Emily backs him up.

"I got it all memorized," Spencer brags. "His books, his bio, everything."

"Yeah, books have sold over a million copies. There's a million reasons not to come back, if you know what I'm saying."

"We really shouldn't be in here," you say and stayt by the door.

"Taupe walls," Emily ignores you. "That's a negative color--cold and distant. You know, emotionally, Taupe is linked to loneliness and the desire to escape from the world."

"I just figured the guy's walls would be covered with plaques and commendations."

"Maybe he hasn't had time to decorate. He did just move in here," you say.

"What happened to the moratorium on inter-team profiling, guys?"

"Come on, Reid, team? I don't think this guy knows the meaning of the word. Y/N knows all about that, don't you?" Derek moves to the unopened boxes and opens one up, removing an oil painting. "Oh, I found something. Looks like some type of religious art. Original, maybe? Definitely expensive."

"It's renaissance art," Spencer says, his interest peaked. He walks further into the room, and you sigh before following him. "This could be an original, but it's hard to tell. Regardless, it means he's into the classics."
