There are other analysts working in the building, so all she has to do is find one of them and bring them to her office. It doesn't take long for her to find someone names Kevin Lynch, and he is eager to help when he hears what is being asked of him.

"Now, are you sure another tech is okay with me in her system? We're kind of weird about that," Kevin asks.

"We just need you to run some bar association records," Hotch says.

"Why doesn't she do it?"

"She's in the hospital."

"You're talking about the analyst who was shot? You know who hit her?"

"That's what we're hoping to find out."

Kevin takes a seat at her desk and gets into her computer, gasping at what he finds.

"What is it?" you ask.

"We're the gatekeepers to a whole lot of information, man. It's enough to make us all a little paranoid. You know, I could have done this on my computer."

"First we need you to look up the name James Colby Baylor and see if it shows up anywhere in the system," Hotch ignores his cautiousness.

"Whoa. This system is insane. It's completely linux-based. Open-sourced programming. You don't see this in government systems, I mean outside of, like, Switzerland," Kevin is in awe.

"James Colby Baylor," Hotch urges.

"Right." Kevin types a few things, but nothing pops up with that name. "Nothing pops up."

"Let's start with a list of everyone in the area who either failed the bar exam or was fired from a large law firm in the last five years."

"Are you serious? That's got to be, like, thousands of names."

"Try narrowing it down to anyone with the initials J.C.B."

Kevin smiles widely the further he delves into Penelope's computer. He isn't typing, testing Hotch's patience.

"Is there a problem?" Hotch asks.

"This might be the coolest girl I've ever met."

"You've never laid eyes on her."

"Well, her gooey is mind-blowing."

"The list."

"Yes, sir." He types some more, but then comes across something you didn't know Penelope would keep on her company computer. "Oh, that's weird. Well, this isn't good."

Penelope has an encrypted file on the computer that Kevin can't get into. Whatever she has on the file could be the reason why she was shot, and Hotch isn't too happy about finding this. He needs to get the password from her, so he decides to take a little trip to the hospital where Spencer and Derek are.

You stay behind to help Emily and JJ put up all the evidence when agents from Internal Affairs show up to confiscate all the evidence you put together. You don't know why they're doing this, but they're adamant in keeping this contained to certain people.

"Is this really necessary?" Emily sighs.

"It's protocol. Yes, it's necessary. Mr. Lynch here will do an audit of her computer. I will oversee the investigation," Agent Fuchs says.

"A federal employee was just gunned down and you make it seem like investigating her is more important than finding out who shot her."

"Well, that's not true. The police have jurisdiction, and trust me, I will offer them the full force of the FBI to solve this case."
