"Happy Birthday Honey!" Sophie heard Edalines soft voice fill her room.
Sophie groaned. She forgot that was today. "Happy birthday to me" She mumbled, still half asleep.
"Honey, you have to get up and go to school today. I'm sorry." Edaline told her, sympathy filling her voice.
Sophie shrugged. "Okay I'll get dressed than" Sophie said, rubbing the sleep out of her brown eyes.
Sophie got up and went to her closet. She scanned her color coded clothes, searching for her outfit she had been saving for a special day. It was a nice outfit, so why would she waste it on a boring day?
She grabbed her white long sleeved undershirt, her sweater vest, and some light washed jeans. Sophie decided she wanted to french braid her blonde hair.
"Ugh!" Sophie said, oh the verge of frustration tears.
Eventually she gave up, and went with a normal braid. She hopped down the stairs, deciding she was happy.
"Oh you look lovely dear." Edaline said, setting down her steaming cup of tea.
"My little girl is 16 now. You better not be getting involved with any boys." Grady said, Narrowing his eyes.
Sophie giggled and glanced at the clock. "Oh shoot! I love you dad love you mom! I've got to go!"
They both waved absent goodbyes as sophie rushed out to her car. She hopped in with her backpack and started going.
She pulled up the the parking lot, and parked. It was a very good park job, but she was late.

She waited a minute before she looked down again. Yeah i'm here. Is it your birthday?
Yeah it is!
