An Epilogue to The Epilogue

I feel bad for the last chapter so here you go 🫶🏼

20 years since they first kissed- 37 years old.

"Sophie!" Keefe yelled down the steps at his wife.

"Yes?" The voice he never got tired of hearing yelled back.

"Come here!" Keefe said, desperate.

"I'm with Adeline!" Sophie yelled back

"She's 12 she can take care of herself!" Keefe told her.

"I'm 11!" Adeline voice cut in.

Keefes face flushed red.

"Same difference? Anyways, Sophie I need you to come here!" Keefe told her.

Keefe had set up rose petals coming to their bedroom, and into the bathroom.

He had set up a nice bath for her, with bubbles and rose petals.

And a book. A book of love letters he's wrote over the years. he'd done 4 pages a year. Every time they got into a fight.

80 times they got into a fight over 20 years, is now turned into 80 love letters from Keefe to Sophie.

He wrote the love letters during long fights to remind himself how much he loves Sophie. To make sure he knows that Sophie is the love of his life.

He heard Sophie coming up the stairs, and quickly grabbed a bouquet of flowers.

"What did you- Keefe?" She asked. Her eyes widened in shock. She wore a small smile on her tired face.

Her eyes started watering and she wrapped Keefe into a hug.

"Thank you Love" She said and wiped her eyes.

She got in the bath and Keefe left her to the love notes.

Keefe was downstairs playing with Adeline when Sophie came barreling down the stairs and tackle hugged Keefe.

She wiped her eyes and said "Keefe...I love you so much" she said and kissed him.

"I love you too. Now, I have one more thing to show you" He said.

he got her into the car, and drove to the place of their first date.

"Ready" He asked her, and grabbed them their skates.
