A bunch of kids were screaming.

"Calm down! It's a drill!" Mrs. Janet told us.
Keefe truthfully didn't even realize it went off. He was too busy staring at the girl who got caught talking to her soulmate.

It's cool. Keefes soulmate and Sophie had the same birthday. That's awesome!

They had to go outside in the pouring rain for the drill. It was cold and miserable and Keefe at that moment hated October.

When's why got back in the classroom, almost everyone's hair was wet, and it was horrid sitting in the seats with wet hair and clothes.

They got through Mrs. Janet's class, and he and his best friend, Fitz had to go to Mr. Aston's class.

It was ok, in science he liked learning about stars, since he could memorize it due to his photographic memory.

He pulled out a pen a wrote

Hey you there?
Yeah
How are you?
I'm good! What about you?
Cold and wet
Oh same lol my school has a fire drill
Really? Same!
That's cool
Yeah
Hey where do you live?
California
Same! I live there with my parents and my two sister
Really I have no siblings and my parents are just awful
When I find you, you can come over as much as you want
Aww thanks Sophie
I never got your name
Oh it's Keefe
I know a Keefe! But there's a lot of Keefes so
Yeah. All right, bye Sophie!
Bye keefe.

Keefe knew a Sophie, but there were a lot of Sophie's. There was one she had had a crush on for years, but that couldn't be her.

He knew she liked Fitz.
His best friend.
UGH

But Fitz was a good guy. Keefe had never seen him get mad before. He was chill and calm, and probably a really good boyfriend. (A/N: I'm sorry I had to give Fitz and Alden redemption) Besides, him and his dad helped Keefe through a lot.

It was the least he could do.
