I was flying, soaring over the white puffy clouds. All around me was nothing but the vast blue sky.
I plummeted through a cloud and came out the other side covered in fluffy pieces of white cloud. My laughter filled the sky as I swung around. A five-year-old could want nothing more than to be in the sky with the birds.
Colorful birds swarmed around me, singing me their songs. Each one was unique to the bird. Not one bird had the same song.
"Hi!" I waved furiously at them. "Are you going to fly with me?!" Some of the birds cooed and the others squawked. "Yay!"
We flew straight up, toward the great blue sky. Stopping over the top of the clouds, I looked down, below the world looked so small. I was like a god creating what I wanted.
I landed on one of the soft clouds and fell into its cottony softness. Snow angels covered the top of the clouds by the time we started flying. I think they'd be called cloud angels, though. Yeah, cloud angels!
We went to a few more clouds and I made more cloud angels. A faint melody played in the distance that made me want to dance.
A giant roar came from the distance and the birds left, scattering throughout the sky.
"Friends! Where did you go?" I looked for them, but stopped once I was blocked by a huge shadow. "Hello?" I said as I turned around. Huge teeth snarled as I looked at this creature.
It was a dragon. The scales on the magnificent beast were bright yellow. Its eyes were blue, like the color of the ocean.
"You're a dragon!" I jumped up and down. "I love dragons!" The dragon looked confused. Most of what's here must be scared of it, like the birds. I whistled and a few birds poked their heads out of the clouds. They weren't the colorful birds I was flying with, they were crows. The crows were covered in shining gold feathers. They looked fake, like they were casted straight from the purest gold.
"It's okay, they don't bite," I tell the gold crows. One by one, ten crows pop out of the clouds. My hands are starting to fade, I must be waking up.
"So long friends, we'll meet again." I close my eyes and when I open them I'm in my room.
The sky is still dark and dotted with stars. It's such a stark contrast to my dream of bright blue skies and rolling clouds.
I jump out of the bed and run out of my room. Quickly, I dash into Percy's room.
"Percy! Percy!" I say, shaking him awake.
He wipes his eyes and rolls over. "What, Corb?"
"I had the most amazing dream ever!"
He sits up and lights the candle on his night stand. "Why don't you tell me about it?"
I jump onto his bed and tell him my dream. I tell him about the birds and the dragon and the gold crows.
"How many gold crows were there?" He asks.
I hold up both of my hands. "There were ten of them!"
He's quiet for a moment before he speaks. "That sounds like a good dream. Why don't we take you back to bed?" Percy moves out of his bed.
I yawned and nodded my head. He picks me up and carries me out of his room. The hallway creaks as he walks to my room. Percy walks into my room and sets me down in my bed and tucks me in.
"Goodnight, Corby."
"Night, Percy."
I feel my eyelids start to get heavy and I fall asleep.
When I opened my eyes I was flying next to the dragon and the golden crows.
