Our father always told us to be wary of the wild crows. We know he was wrong.
Yes, the wild crows did take things, but we think it was for the greater good. They did cause my parents a great amount of stress and anxiety. But, they weren't looking at the true reason the wild crows chose my father.
The curse was a gift.
It was supposed to keep you on your toes so you would know what to expect. But, all the Crawfords took the death as a bad omen rather than what it was really for. The rest of Arachmoor followed. We can't change their minds, we're only Acanthus Perseus and Roisin Elysium Crawford-Golding. Two insignificant people in Arachmoor. The people with a mutt mother and a cursed father.
But, our father would have changed their minds. He would've fought until his dying breath if he only knew the truth. But, he was so young when he was cursed. There was no way a boy, who had just lost his brother, was going to figure out that the curse is a blessing when everyone around him shuns him because of it.
I spent my childhood fearful of getting the curse just because I had the Crawford black hair and eyes.
We were fearful of something that was a blessing. It was our father's passing that opened our eyes
If you're a Crawford, consider the reason why we were chosen to carry the gift of the crows. It isn't a curse, but rather a blessing that allows us to prepare for the good or the bad.
Take it into consideration. The wild crows are a gift the gods gave to us, and the curse takes away any value of it.
