I was flying, soaring over the white puffy clouds. All around me was nothing but the blue sky.

I've had this dream since I was a boy. When I first told Percy about it, he knew I was going to be cursed. You don't see the golden crows in a dream and get out of the curse.

Everything about the dream was the same. The colorful birds disappeared and they were replaced by silver crows.

Silver crows.

They aren't supposed to be silver, they're supposed to be gold.

The crows swarmed me. I was shrouded in a cloak of silver feathers and darkness.

Suddenly, I was falling out of the sky, plummeting towards the ground that seemed so friendly not even a minute ago.

A scream was trapped in my throat as I passed through the stormy clouds. I tried to grab anything, but the silver crows let me fall. Tears fall out of my eyes as I plummet toward the ground. How could they betray me? I've done nothing to the crows, yet they choose to cause me harm.

Right as I hit the grassy field, my back breaks the surface of the ocean. My breath bubbles to the surface as I try to swim up for air. But, an invisible hand pulled me farther into the inky black depths of the unforgiving sea.

I could feel the salt water quickly filling my lungs as I choked and gagged. My time was running short and there was nothing I could do.

My eyes started to close as I drifted to the ocean floor. The water above me got darker and darker until it was pitch black. I hit the ocean floor.

I sprung out of bed. Sweat soaked through my shirt as I hyperventilated.

"Corby?" Kalonice asks as she wakes up.

I push my hair out of my face. "Go back to bed. Kal."

She turns on her side to face me. "Nightmare?"

I bring my knees closer to my chest and bury my head in them. "Yeah."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, I want to go to bed."

She rests her head on my chest and takes in a deep breath. Slowly, I start to calm my breathing. My heart rate slows.

Finally, I fall back to sleep.
