Monday had come around pretty quickly and Robin was back in class with Carmen, watching her draft ideas in her notebook for their project.
"So I was thinking that we create some models of different types of atoms out of clay or something?" She looked up from her book and caught his stare he had on her.

She blushed and looked back at her notebook again, Robin smirking at her before placing his hand under her chin and making her face him again.
"Sounds great." He smiles at her and her face turns dark red, her gaze falling from his face again.
"You're gonna have to actually make it though, I suck at science." Robin says before letting his hand drop to his lap and watching her smile grow.

"That's fine by me."

Robin and Carmen were walking behind the Blake siblings, whispering to each other and laughing at themselves.
"Do you need me to walk you home?"
"No but thanks Robin." She smiles at him and waves goodbye to Finney and Gwen as they turn down the street to their house.

It had been a week since the incident at the sleepover and Robin was still on edge about it all. He felt the need to be there for her when she needed protection or comfort. There was no specific reason why, it's just she was now the person he was closest to and he found it safe to say she was becoming his best friend. Or at least he hoped.

"So Robin. Tell me about your life. I feel like you everything about me but you're a closed book." She glanced at him and slowed down her pace so they had more time to talk.

"Uh well I live with my mom. My dad left when I was younger and my uncle's in the army. He goes away a lot."
"Oh I'm sorry."
"Nah it's alright, my mom's all I need. I'm sure she'd love to meet you sometime." She smiled at this, nodding her head and turning down the street where Robin's house came into view.

"Yeah I'd really like that. Thanks for opening up Robin."
"Thanks for letting me open up Carmen."
"I'll see you tomorrow morning?"
"I'll be at your door." She smiled and watched as he walked up to his front door and looked back to wave as he walks inside.

Just before she turned to go down her street she noticed a man stumble out of his van and drop his groceries all over the pavement. He had a weird hat on and the van he drove had 'abracadabra' written on the side of it. Despite that she still knelt down to help him pick up his food and place it carefully back into the bag.

"Why thank you little one. I'm so clumsy sometimes." He laughs slightly and it made her realise just how creepy this guy was. She usually trusted her gut instincts so she chose to today as well as she was usually right as she stood up from the floor and took a look inside of the back window of the van where a bundle of black balloons were inside.

Her blood ran cold.

She turned back to the man who was now also standing and memorised his face before taking a few steps back.

"Oh yeah forgot those were in there. You wanna see a magic trick with them?" She didn't want to alarm him so instead of running she shook her head and smiled kindly.

"No but thanks. My dad's probably waiting for me." That was obviously a lie but he didn't have to know that. She didn't wait for an answer as she crossed the street and sped up her pace until she reached her gate, forcing it open and going through her front door without glancing behind her.
