Robin had left his house with a skip in his step, a smile on his face as he made his way to his girlfriend's. Turning the all familiar corner, past the street lamp, stepping over the random hole in the sidewalk.

Yet his tracks came to a stop when he spotted a crowd in the distance, in front of her house, police cars scattered down the road. Robin took off into a sprint, quickly reaching the people around the police tape and pushed through them, meeting a barrier in front of the home.

"Carmen!" He yelled out, looking around frantically for his girlfriend. Ducking under the barrier and surging forward.
"Hey you can't be here!" An officer yelled at him, grabbing him by his forearm.
"This is my girlfriend's house! Where is she, where is Carmen?" He demanded, his eyes frantically looking up at the police officer.
"You know the girl that lives here?" The officer questioned.
"Yes of course I do. Is she okay?"

~

Robin had been taken to the police station to answer some questions. So far he had been placed in a room by himself, having no idea what was going on or what happened to his girlfriend.
"Alright," The sudden voice appeared from the door, a note book and pen in his hands.

"Tell me everything you know about Carmen Sanchez." He spoke as he took a seat opposite Robin.
"Not until you tell me where she is." He replied sternly, all he wanted to know what if she was alright.
"That's classified, son."
"Then I guess I'm not telling you anything."
The detective sighed and placed his notebook down before leaning forward.
"Listen, I understand that you are confused and want to know what exactly happened. But we need this information to figure that out too. We're all on the same side here, don't make this any harder."

"Fine."

~

Carmen didn't know where she woke up. It was all blurry, her head pounding, a metallic taste remaining in her mouth.

What the hell happened?

She sat up straight, ignoring the pain in her head as she did so too quickly, looking around at her surroundings.
It looked like a little girls bedroom, pink everywhere, a dollhouse, stuffed toys, princess bed. And it was all strewn about as if someone had left in a rush and never bothered to tidy it up again.

She had seen creepy things like it in the horror movies Robin made her watch, but this was just weird.

Oh god, Robin.

If it was morning, Robin would be waiting for her outside by now. Not knowing where she was. Hell she didn't even know where she was.

"You're awake." She heard a deeper voice from beside her, when did he get in here?
Her feet immediately shuffled her body away and she turned to see the same man from earlier. A demon mask covering his face apart from his eyes which bore into hers deeply. That alone made her skin crawl.
"Isn't it nice in here?" She could almost hear the disgusting smirk in his voice. Yet she bit her tongue and kept silent.

"Not talkative are you." He stepped closer each time she stepped back, her heart thumping.
"Let me out." She ordered, obviously it wasn't going to be that easy, but he needed to know she wouldn't stop fighting. Yet all he did was shake his head and tut.

"I'll be back soon with food." He stated, turning around and walking toward the door.
"And don't try screaming for help. I've soundproofed this whole room." And the door shut and locked behind him.

Great.

~

Robin was a complete mess. The police had let him go a few hours ago now and he hadn't spoken a word since. His mom knew what was going on, so she understood his silence, allowing him to grieve in peace.

His girlfriend was gone. Gone. How did he let that happen? He knew he should have stayed with her, he could have protected her. Done anything to prevent this.

He was sat in his bed, the bed that Carmen hadn't slept in yet. The bed that she may never get to sleep in. No.

He can't think like that. If the police can't find her, he will.

~

Carmen had left the eggs and sprite on the floor purely out of spite. She wanted this man to feel something. Guilt, sadness, sympathy. Anything but getting no reaction out of him, other than the mask and his monotone voice.

Every inch of the room had been searched for a way out but there was nothing in there. Apart from the small window at the top which she could barely reach, yet there were bars and not much could be seen from inside.

She missed Robin. If he was here, he would hold her and tell her it was all gonna be okay. Maybe even magically find a way out the room and make a joke on how easy it was. But, he wasn't here. So she had to do all that by herself.

So instead of trying to find a way out physically, she thought about the grabber. And what she had heard about him. From her knowledge, he only kidnapped young boys, definitely not girls. And he had been preying on her for a long time before he actually succeeded in taking her. So that's what she was questioning, why her?

The whole house seemed dark, empty, quiet. It must have been night time by now, her eyes were closing but she daren't sleep, in fear of the man appearing whilst she wasn't aware. Who knows what he could do to her whilst she wasn't awake to defend herself. Yet, he still hadn't come inside again, like she thought he would.

So maybe it was safe to sleep. Just for a little while.

And that's what she did. Falling asleep thinking about Robin Arellano.

To neither of their knowledge, Robin was doing the same thing.
