It was 11 o'clock that night and all four of them were sat around, stretched out along the sofas and chairs. Robin had Carmen within his arms as her head lay on his chest, his heart beating slowly in her ears. Finney and Gwen had fallen asleep which just left the other two sitting in silence, his hand softly brushing her hair."Do you think we should tell them?" She asked.
"Tell them what?"
"About us."
"Soon. I want some time by ourselves for a bit." She nodded and lay her head back on his chest, closing her eyes.It had only been a few hours since they had made it official and she could not be happier. Just thinking about being close with him made her feel all giddy on the inside. Robin on the other hand, was looking forward to everyone finding out and knowing that she was all his. She was all his. And he was all hers.
To be honest he couldn't wait for people not know about them, but he knew that once it came out there would be a lot of attention on them. He didn't mind that but he knew she would.
Robin could tell she had drifted off to sleep as her breathing had shallowed and from the way she looked so peaceful. He had been tracing small shapes on her lower back for a few minutes to make sure she wasn't going to wake up before sitting up and placing his arms under her and holding her up to his chest. He slowly walked over to Gwen's room and lay her in her bed, pulling the covers over her body and brushing her hair out of her face.
He pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head and turned the light off, closing the door behind him as he made his way back to the living room where Finney was now hanging off the seat he was on, his head in the floor but still in a deep sleep. Robin quietly laughed to himself and collapsed back on the sofa, closing his eyes and letting his mind drift to thoughts of his girl.
~
Carmen had woken up that morning utterly confused, especially when she felt around expecting to find Robin and instead only feeling the soft cover of Gwen's bed. She shot up straight away and climbed out of the bed, making her way down the hall where she accidentally walked into something or someone as she rounded the corner.
"Morning Carmen. Sleep well?" Robin lightly grabbed her forearms to stop her from stumbling over as she regained her balance.
"Huh? Oh right, yeah good thanks. Were you the one that put me in the bed?"
"Yeah sorry, I didn't want you to have to sleep on the couch." She smiled and quickly glanced behind his back, making sure Gwen and Finney were out of sight before leaning up and pressing a kiss to his cheek. As she walked past him and into the living room she took note on how he was blushing and looking away from her as she went by.Once he had finally come to his senses and shaken away his blush he followed her to where she now stood, watching over Finney as he put ingredients in a pan. But just after doing so she slaps the spatula out of his hand and shoves him out the way before doing it herself, muttering somethings about burning the eggs.
"Geez Cam didn't know you were so serious about food." Finney muttered and rolled his eyes as he backed away from her.
"It's food."
Cam? Robin thought, wondering when that nickname had come around and decided he needed a nickname for her too.~
Carmen had been cautious about being alone out in the street after the incident, she made sure that there was always someone else in the street to be there if anything else happened. But there was never any need. She hadn't seen that van since. It was like he had different plans for her. Or maybe he had given up, scared she had figured something out.
Over the past few days she had thought about telling Robin about what had happened, but the more she thought about the more it seemed like a stretch. What if it was all a coincidence, what if he really was just a magician who needed help with his groceries. If none of it was what she had thought then what was the point in telling Robin. If anything he'd probably be more upset that it took her so long to tell him.
And, yet again, as she turned to her street corner with Robin walking beside her, she saw nothing. No van again. In her mind she let out a large sigh of relief, not knowing what would of happened if he was there with Robin next to her.
"You ok, amor?" Carmen broke out of her thoughts and turned her head to look at him.
"Amor? That's new."
"Do you not like it? I'm sorry I should have asked-"
"Hey no no it's good, I love it." She smiled at him to show him that she was being sincere.
"Good. Because it's sticking."She lightly elbowed him in his side as he swung open her gate for her, bowing and muttering a small m'lady as she walked past. He laughed as he walked after her, butterflies swarming in his stomach as she stopped in her tracks and swung her arms around his neck.
"Thank you for the whole night. It was really great." He looked into her eyes and nodded slightly, his gaze meeting her lips for a second before they were back to hers again. Carmen smiled slightly and leaned in towards him, connecting their lips and pulling him closer with her arms as he placed his hands on her hips to stabilise himself. They both smiled into the kiss, Carmen pulling away first before he pulled her back in for another.
Everything felt so unreal for both of them. Robin had the most perfect, beautiful girl in his arms and she somehow liked him back. Carmen on the other hand had the most perfect, gorgeous boy in her arms and he somehow liked her back too.
She slowly unraveled her arms from around his neck as she pulled away for the second time, Robin finally letting her.
"I better get inside." She bit her lip at his gazed expression, the small smile in his lips disappearing as he came to his senses.
"Oh right yeah. See you at tomorrow?"
"I'll be here." She kisses his cheek softly before swiftly walking inside her house and softly closing the door behind her, leaving Robin outside to gather his thoughts. As she sauntered past the lounge she caught sight of her brother passed out on the sofa, a beer in his hand and the tv still on with low volume.
