Chapter 10-Trip home

"Remus here," Sirius took a mirror out of his pocket and handed it to him.

Remus looked at it and looked back at Sirius. "Wow thanks for giving me your mirror."

"It's a two way mirror," Sirius started explaining. "Prongsie and I use them to talk to eachother whenever I'm staying in Grimmauld place."

"And why are you giving it to me?"

"Jeez Moony, I thought you were smart," James joked and got a sore quick from Remus in the shin.

"It's so I- we can talk to you until we see you,"

"Ohh, Okay thank you,"

James and Sirius smiled and went back to chatting. Sirius fell asleep onto Remus shoulder and Remus fell asleep on his head. James smiled at the two and didn't hear the compartment door slide open and Regulus slide in.

"Hi,"

"oh, Hi"

Regulus looked at him carefully taking in his features and James did the same. Then he started crying. James' face dropped and he opened his arms and Regulus fell into his embrace. His crying woke Sirius and Remus who looked at him sincerely.

"What happened, Reg?" Sirius said leaning across. Regulus went to speak but turned into James' chest and cried harder. Sirius looked up at James and James shrugged showing he didn't know either. Finally Regulus sat up but stayed under James' arm.

"Snape and h-his friends..." Regulus started.

"Snape doesn't have any friends." Sirius said through gritted teeth.

"invited me to sit with them," Regulus continued not hearing what Sirius said. "and I told them I was going to sit with you guys and they said I d-didn't h-have too and I said I w-wanted too, and Nott s-stood up and p-punched m-me,"

Saying it outloud caused Regulus to cry again and James pulled him in closer. Sirius stood up wand in hand and disappeared out the compartment door. It was a while before there was a bang, a few shrieks and then Sirius returning with a big grin. Neither Remus nor James asked what happened nor gave out to him.

"Now..." Sirius sat down and calmly turned to the other two still cuddled together. "How are you two not together?"

James blushed and looked down at Regulus who had fallen asleep in his arms. He smiled to himself and looked out the window. They sat in silence for about ten minutes until Malfoy stormed up tp the compartment door and threw it open.

"You're dead, Black," 

"Which one?" Sirius joked knowing it would annoy him. Lucius raised his wand at Sirius. "Do it! Do it, I dare you, Death-Eater!"

Lucius opened his mouth about to fire a spell and Sirius glared up at him when someone shouted.

"LUCIUS MALFOY!" it was Narcissa. She stormed up the train and stopped to look at the scene. From Regulus asleep, eyes wet from crying, lying in James' arms to Lucius' raised wand at Sirius. She glared at him and he dropped his wand to his side.

"Get away from my cousins before I hex you," she yelled raising her own wand. Lucius looked behind Narcissa to see Andy leant up against the wall smiling and Bellatrix glaring at him.

"C'mon baby..." He started slowly. Sirius pulled a face at him. 

"Don't baby me!" she snapped. "Get lost now you... you disgrace!"

"I think she's breaking up with you!" Sirius yelled up the train as Lucius ran away. Andy patted Cissy on the back.

"Nice one," 

Andy walked off with bellatrix who both winked at Sirius. Narcissa went into their compartment and sat down.

"You two alright?" 

"Yes I'm fine and I think he is too," Sirius answered. "Blimey Cissa. You have attitude... I love it!"

Regulus had woken to Narcissa yells and he smiled at her when she asked. "You ok Reg?"

He nodded and nestled his head back into James' chest. Narcissa looked at the two and smiled. She got up, winked at Regulus and highfived Sirius, and walked out of the compartment down the hallway to find Andy and Bella.

"Twenty minutes away." Remus said looking up from his book. 

"Wanna play a game?" Sirius suggested but Regulus was asleep again and James didn't want to wake up so it was just Sirius and Remus playing. James was laughing at them and Regulus, pretending to be asleep so he could stay in James' arms longer, listened to his heartbeat. It was going normal pace but when Regulus moved it would speed up a bit and this made Regulus smile.
