Circumpolar: Denotes an object near a celestial pole that never dips below the horizon as Earth rotates and thus does not rise or set.

With a smile on my face, I walked down the hallway, greeting everyone I passed with a head nod. As I rounded the corner, my smile dissipated into a frown as I saw my office door wide open.

I cleared my throat, closing the door behind me. "Mr. Cho, good morning."

My boss sighed as I walked around to my desk, sitting down in the chair. "I wouldn't say it's been a good morning, Mr. Kim."

My eyebrows furrowed as I leaned my elbows on the desk. "Anything you'd like to discuss about that?"

Mr. Cho's frown deepened. "Mr. Kim, maybe you could explain to me why the manuscript submitted for Lifeline has the main character's name mispelled in more than half of the book, hmm?"

I shook my head, eyebrows raising up slightly in confusion. "I'm sorry, sir. I... I'm not sure what happened."

"Do you not check everyone's work, Kim?"

"No! No, I'm sorry. That's not what I meant." I let out a breath to calm myself down, preventing a panic attack as much as possible. "The manuscript should not have been submitted yet. I didn't submit it due to this issue. The team is working on fixing it as we speak, and it was going to be sent off by the end of this week."

Mr. Cho hummed, sitting quietly for a few seconds. He ran a hand over his mouth in thought. "Then how do you suppose I had the manuscript put on my desk this morning? The client is very upset that this happened."

"I understand, sir. I... I honestly am not sure what happened. I will investigate right away, and will ensure that this never happens again."

The boss stood up, straightening his suit jacket. "I trust you will solve this problem, Taehyung. Now, just because I like you, I'm giving you one more chance, but another big screw up like this and you might find yourself back at your old desk, understand?"

I nodded, holding out a hand for him to shake. "I promise I will work diligently, sir."

After shaking hands, Mr. Cho gave a small nod before exiting my office. I immediately collapsed into my chair, running my fingers through my hair, separating any knots.

"But you know for a fact you didn't accidentally submit it to him?" Jungkook asked as he popped a piece of sushi in his mouth.

I nodded with a frown. "I'm positive."

Jungkook eyed me for a minute before leaning forward, using his fingers to lift the corners of my lips. "I think you look so much more handsome if you smile, Tae."

My cheeks flushed red as I picked up a tuna roll with a chopstick. "I just wish I knew what happened."

The male shrugged. "Things happen. I know you want answers, but the answers will come about naturally without you fretting about it. So, enjoy some sushi with me, but only if you're going to smile and laugh."

I chuckled, unable to help myself in his presence. "Okay, deal. I won't ruin our date."

His lips turned upwards into a smile before he kissed my cheek, his face immediately turning red.

"What was that for?"

Jungkook's eyes remained on the container of sushi in front of him while he mumbled out a response.

"What was that?" I turned my head slightly, a small smirk forming on my lips.

Jungkook sighed, making eye contact with me. "I just wanted to kiss you." After popping another piece of sushi in his mouth, he cleared his throat. "I hear the stars are supposed to be really prominent tonight. Want to go watch them at our spot?"

I nodded immediately. "Let's finish our dinner and then we can go. Be sure to bring your camera." I spoke the last part as I tucked a stray hair behind his ear. "I want to see more of your beautiful pictures."

Jungkook shyly nodded, quickly shoving the rest of the food in his mouth before rushing to his bedroom to grab his camera.
