It had been a couple of hours since Asher had left work to head off to get Trisha for their date. So he was now sitting in his car driving to Trisha's house as he was thinking about how to break up with her.

'I don't like how rude she has been lately, especially to one of our friends, but I can't bare the thought of seeing her sad. She is still a very precious friend to me.' He thought as he started to slow down, seeing the light was about to turn red.

As he was waiting at the red light, he saw that he had a miss text message from Trisha.

"Hey Ashy, are you on your way to get me yet?" She asked.

"Yeah, I should be there in a few more minutes just stopped at a red light," He replied back to her message.

Once he was done texting Trisha back, he saw the light turn green and drove straight on ahead.

After another five minutes of driving, he was parked outside a large yellow house with a brownish-looking roof.

As soon as he pulled up, he texted Trisha, letting her know he was outside.

"I'm outside my flower. I'll see you when you get out here." He texted.

"I will be right out. Just need to grab my purse, and I will be outside." She texted back.

Asher then put his phone back into his pocket after reading her replied to his message and waited for her to come on outside.

Suddenly his attention was drawn back to his phone as he got another text and saw that it was from his old friend Zane.

"Hey Asher, I heard you're finally ending that relationship with Trisha about time, dude." Zane texted.

"Shut up, Zane, unlike you in eighth grade. I  am not dumping her like a heartless jerk like you did dating another girl and then telling her it's over because you found a pretty girl. That was harsh, and you really hurt her." Asher texted.

"Don't pretend she wasn't ugly with those braces, and she's still not even that pretty. I don't know how you've been so in love with her since middle and started dating her after I dumped her."

"For your information, she is beautiful, kind, and funny. The only reason were breaking up is because of you. She not as kind as she used to be, but that doesn't mean I don't love her anymore, but that's not any of your busy, my ex-best friend."

He has pulled away from his phone as a tap was heard on his car door, and he turned to see Trisha trying to get in. He immediately reaches for the button next to him and unlocks the door.
