Chapter 7: A fun day with Zack

Asher pulled to his house after leaving work to see a black Mercedes parked in the driveway, meaning his father was home earlier than usual, and unlocked the front door.

"Woof!"

Asher smiled as he was tackled by his puppy, knocking him down and licking his face.

"Hey there, buddy; good to see you as well," He said, petting his puppy.

"Hey, son, what are you doing here? Don't you have another three hours of work?" A tall, muscular man asked, walking out of the kitchen.

"Yeah, but I left early and wasn't feeling well, " Asher said, looking at his father.

"Woof!" His puppy barked, concerned, looking at Asher.

"Don't worry, Buster, im not sick, just not feeling myself, " He said, looking at the puppy on his chest.

"If you not sick, then what's the matter, son?" His father asked, looking over at his son, getting up from the floor and taking the puppy off his chest.

Asher gently stroked Buster's head as he glanced at his father."Well you know Trisha?" He asked.

"Yeah, the girl you have been dating and call your flower," His father said."What about her?" He asked.

"You see after our moive date I might not have broken her heart dumping her and I can't stop thinking about how much I hurt her and if I made a mistake."

His father stared at him momentarily before walking forward and placing a hand on his son's shoulder."Tell me son is there a reason you felt the need to end the relationship?" He asked.

"Well to be honest she wasn't the nicest person to anyone but me," Asher started. "She insulted our friend Caitlin Cooke all because of her uniform for her job a lemon hat," He explained.

"I see your reason is valid but other than that do you still love her if so then my suggestion is to tell her how you feel about her behavior," His father said."You know I did things your mother didn't like and when she told me I worked on changing my habits because I didn't want to lose her. If you feel dating her was wrong apologize and explain to her why you broke.  Your heart will know what's right, however, I suggest you think about
it before jumping into a new relationship."

Asher sighed as he stood up with Buster in his arms.

"I thought it was right but after we broke up it feels so wrong," He said.

"Maybe taking Buster for a walk will help you clear your mind just try to not think too much about it and instead listen to your heart," His father said."I'm going to pick up your sister from her friend Jessica's house," He said walking towards the door.

Asher nodded.

'He right an walk with Buster should help me relax and figure things out. My brain says it right, but inside my heart breaking up with my flower feels so wrong.' Asher thought as he grabbed Buster's less off of the hook rack on the wall near the front door on the right.

"Alright let's get going Buster," Asher said putting the lesh onto Buster's harness before stepping outside the door for their walk.

Asher was now walking through the neighborhood with Buster who was secured on his lesh.

'Father says to listen to my heart and maybe he is right maybe I made a bad choice by listening to my brain saying Trisha was a jerk I shouldn't date.'  Asher thought as Buster stopped to take a bathroom break.

He was pulled out of his thoughts as his phone rang and saw it was an incoming call from the boy Zack he met at the movie theatre.

"Hello, this is Asher."

"Hey, Ash it's Zack from the movie theatre."

"Yes, I recall you what are you calling for?"

"I know you said you didn't want to talk about your issue with that girl, but wondering if you like to hang out to take your mind off the situation. You seem upset about what you did so figure you could use a friend for comfort."

"Hold that thought someone is texting me."

Asher glanced at his phone to see a message from Nikki.

{Hey Rich boy are you sure you won't be joining us everyone else is here including Jen who wasn't going to join at first.}

{No thanks glad Jen decided to join but you know I decided I hang out with another friend thanks for trying to help me feel better}

Asher then went back to his call with Zack.

"I'm back Zack and yeah I take you on your offer what do you say coming over to my place and playing some games?" 

"That sounds good send me the address and I will be right on over to hang."

"Alright sending it on right now in text," Asher said ending the phone call as he sent the address to Zack.

"Woof!"

"Ah, you ready to continue my bad boy got sidetracked by my phone let's go once around the block and back on home it is," He said putting his phone back in his pants pocket.

When Asher and Buster finished their walk around the block they soon headed back to the house for a nice refreshing drink of water.

Asher was now sitting in his bedroom drinking a cup of water as Buster was relaxing in his doggie bed near the window.

A few moments later he heard a knock on his bedroom door. he stood up and opened the door to see Zack standing on the other side of the door.

"Hey, Zack you here," Asher said.

"Yeah your mom let me on inside and say you were most likely up here," Zack replied.

"Ah, I didn't realize my mom was home guess me and Buster got so relaxed from our walk we didn't hear her come in," Asher said.

"Buster, oh your dog," Zack said once he spotted the dog lying down.

"Yeah that's Buster anyway come on in and let's play pick one of the games off the shelf," Assher said letting Zack on inside his room and pointing to a shelf near the TV with multiple video games.

As soon as Zack picked out a game both boys began playing together aiming to get Asher an much needed distract from thinking about Trisha.

Here you have it. The seventh chapter of Rich Boy is completed. Asher after coming home from work early talks to his father about his feelings about breaking up with Trisha, and is given good advice from his father. Instead of joining the others in skipping work, he spends time with Zack. The next few chapters will possibly be another original plotline chapter before following the show's next cannon episode.
