A day passes before Bad has time to examine the note.
George calls Bad and asks him how it's going. He's too lazy to go to his office.
George spends most of his day in his office. He's reached the end of the paperwork pile - almost. In a few days he'll be done.
Quackity has also had some paperwork regarding the case, but not as much as George.
Now George is playing golf with Karl again. Karl didn't fail to mention his love towards it, and he even points out the fake grass multiple times.
He isn't especially good at it, but at least it takes both of their minds off the case.
"Hey," Wilbur says, walking up the stairs and approaching Karl and George.
He raises a fun brow to Karls odd hit on his yellow ball.
"Fun break?" He laughs sarcastically.
"M'yeah, you too?" George asks, unbothered, eyes still fixated on the game.
Wilbur hestitates, "yeah," he walks foward and plops himself on a bench next to the two others, "can i ask you something?"
George turns around. "Yes?"
"Um," he swooshes his brown, curly, long hair to the side, "i was like-"
George gives him a patient stare.
"-do you think you can find yourself a replacement for me for the next few — many days? Ash, y'know from band, told me he needs me at the studio."
George smiles and chuckles, "of course, Wilbur. You should really ask your boss for less hours."
Wilbur gives George a weird look. Then he gets it.
George is his boss.
George smiles, "what if, you end work 2 hours early on Wednesdays so you, Ash and the others can work on your EP?"
Wilbur goes wide-eyed. He gets up from the bench and puts his arms on George's shoulders, shaking them in excitement.
"Thank you!" He breathes, "i'll be gone for about four weeks, off to LA, and then i'll be back with the new amazing schedule." He smiles fondly.
Karl laughs, cheering in the background. George loves how caring they both are, making him copy Wilbur's fond smile.
"Score!" Karl yells, now cheering double the amount he did before.
That's the first strike he's gotten in the entire 45 minute break that they've been out there.
George and Wilbur cheer with him.
After the double excitement, Wilbur and George decide to head to Bad's office to see if he's examined the note.
They enter Bad's office, and George almost forgets that Bad has this frightening looking office. Perhaps frightening isn't the right definition, but it definitely startles him every time he enters.
The room smells like scented candles. Vanilla. He has a thing for scented candles.
Bad smiles and gives them a small wave when they walk in. It doesn't look like he's busy.
"Hey! I was about to tell you-" Bad looks at the note in his hands and up again, "I just brought it back from the lab. It actually didn't take long for me to examine it, but I wanted to try again because nothing appeared," he sneers with a hint of a frown.
"So.. nothing?" Wilbur asks. George looks back and forth between the two.
"Nothing."
George sighs. He expected it.
