Before I can question Draco further on his plans to flee this place, the fire crackles and burns bright green. With a loud snap, someone steps out of the fireplace. I cannot see them from this angle.

The person doesn't speak.

Leaving Draco's wand behind, I get up and move into the room.

It seems it is Harry, and not Ginny or some other stranger entirely, who is at a loss for words. He glances at me when I enter, eyes only darting away from Lovegood.

"Care to explain?" Draco says, gesturing to Lovegood, who remains unconscious next to him on the floor.

"I'm good, actually," Harry manages.

Ginny steps out the fireplace next. She turns her head, noticing Lovegood on the floor. She rushes to Lovegood's side, pulling out her wand.

"Do not revive her," Draco's words are pointed and hard. He glares at Ginny.

Ginny flicks her wand, but before she can speak, Harry grabs her hand and stops her. She rips herself out of his grip, her expression much sourer than usual. While I do not usually see her content, or even unbothered, especially when Draco is around, I do not think I have ever seen the look of fury on her face. Her cheeks are bright red, she jabs her finger at Harry's chest. I almost expect her to slap him. Instead, she continues to glare.

"I had to convince him not to use a memory charm on her," I make my way into the room properly.

Ginny looks at me, then looks properly down at Draco. She laughs, "did you seriously try to apparate out of the room?"

Draco scowls at her as she continues to laugh.

"You're lucky," Harry adds. "When Ron splinched he passed out cold. Besides, Hermione said-"

"I don't think Hermione would approve of half the things that happened tonight," I jump in.

Ginny, whose mean laugh is dying down, points her finger at my chest, "your shirt is cockeyed."

I look down, and sure enough she is right. The buttons aren't done up properly. Rather than fix it, I massage my temple.

"And you're both drunk," Ginny shakes her head, her scowl turning into a cruel smirk. "Merlin, Malfoy. This is embarrassing, even for you. Especially for you."

"As soon as we modify Looney Lovegood's memory, we're taking a portkey out of here," Draco insists. I do not know how he plans for that to work seeing as he cannot stand on his own.

"Oh, go fuck yourself," Ginny cuts in. She steps closer to Draco until she is hanging over top of him. "You do not get to hex my friends and then have an attitude about it."

Draco stares up at her but says nothing.

"We're going to bring Luna into another room and wake her," Harry says. "She isn't going to talk."

"Well, we are leaving," Draco insists.

Ginny nods. She flicks her wand at Lovegood, or Luna, and the girl's unconscious body floats in the air. Ginny begins to bring her out of the room, carefully maneuvering around the corner. When Harry steps on after her, Draco rolls his eyes.

"At least take down the confinement charm yourself. It'll save us time," he scowls.

Ginny turns around to glare at him, "if you're so clever, do it yourself."
