Betrayed

Chapter 2: A common hatred

Everyone started to chatter, and Lila started to spew more lies. Adrian blood froze. Surely, it can't be Felix, his cousin. But as the boy walked in Adrian was proved wrong. The boy looked just like Adrian, except Felix had a head of neatly combed hair and was very well dressed. The girl on the other hand, wore a pair of white jeans and a grey hoodie covering most of her head. Only a few strands of chestnut hair escaped it. Isis spotted Lila, then whispered something to Felix that no one could make out. Then Felix narrowed his brows and nodded. Marinette listened closely and just made out.

"We can't jump to conclusions. We need to get evidence first." 

"Fine but in sure it's her. I'm definite." Isis whispered back.

Marinette was confused. No one ever disliked Lila. She would talk to the new kids at lunch. 

 " Alright class I know you guys are excited but settle down. " Mrs. Bustier told the class.

 "Well Felix I just want to tell you that I love England, especially Big Ben is so amazing!" Lila lied to Felix's face. 

Marinette just rolled her eyes. Who even believes Lila at this point? Her stupid class? Definitely. At Lila's statement Felix just sighed. When Felix and Isis were seated, the morning passed quickly. Math's was surprisingly simple, and strangely Lila did not accuse her of cheating in today's test. Then came lunch. When the bell rang, the new kids stayed in class finishing their work, just like Marinette, while the rest of the classes rushed outside. Marinette walked up to them when Isis turned to her.

 "Are you with her? Are you?" Her eyes were red and puffy with crying. " Are you with Lila Rossi? "

 "No. " Marinette answered. " She has ruined my life, taken all my friends and never stops lying. "

Then, Isis stood up and hugged her.

 "Thank you." She whispered. " Your one of the only who sees through her lies. "

 "I'm glad."

 Marinette jumped at the sound of the voice. Thankfully, it was only Felix.

 "Do you know her? If so, what did she do to you?" Marinette questioned Isis. "And why is Adrian's cousin with you?" 

 " These are too many questions for me to answer and the answers are long. But if you really wish to know them, then I will come to your house this evening. " 

 " How do you know where I live? " Marinette questioned. 

Isis laughed. " It's not hard to join the dots. The bakery name is Dupang Chang bakery and that's your last name. Not hard at all. Let's go to lunch now before my food gets cold! " The trio rushed to the cafeteria, and Marinette was ecstatic. She just made new friends, and they also hated Lila!

Unfortunately, Chloe was sick, and was sent home. Which was unfortunate as Marinette wanted Chloe to meet her new friends, so she texted her:

Marinette: Hey girl how u doing?????

Chloe 👑: Good. 

Chloe👑: What do you want??

Marinette: Could u come over to my place later today? I want u to meet some new friends I made.

Marinette: They also hate Lie-la.

Chloe👑: Sure, I would love to come round. What are ur friends' names?

Chloe👑: +Love the nickname Lie-la.

Marinette: Nice. Is 5ish ok with u??? I will tell u their names when we are all at my place.

Chloe👑: Yes. 👍

Chloe👑: See you soon! 

Marinette: Bye 👋

Marinette turned to Felix and Isis. " So is five okay with you?"

Isis responded first " I'm free at five how about you Felix? "

" If your free I'm free to. " He responded. 

"So, it's settled, at five everyone comes to my place." Marinette said with a smile. But she was also confused. Why did Felix say that? It was very curious. You could almost say he liked Isis...
