Right then, Mrs. Bustier walked in and saw Lila crying.

"Now, what is going on here?" She asked reaching a hand to comfort the sobbing girl.

" I-It was Marinette, s-she p-p-ushed me d-d-own the s-tairs and made me p-promise not to te-ll anyone." Lila then proceeded to show the carefully painted bruises on her arms and legs.

" She also beat me up in the alleyway yesterday but my friends found out." After hearing this, Mrs. Bustier had a shocked look on her face and turned to the four at the back.

"Marinette! I am shocked to see you behave in such manner. You are our Class Representative and should be leading by example!" Mrs. Bustier looked beyond angry.

"Well then, I have some news for you. I quit."

"B-b-but you can't." Mrs. Bustier's angry face was replaced with a one of shock. Then the class exploded with irritated shouts and roars of displeasure.

"You can't do that!"

"Thats so selfish of you!"

"How could you do that!"

Isis glare shut them all up.

"Mari can quit anytime she wants. It is in the handbook of Class Representative. It clearly states that in chapter nine, section seven, I quote directly from the book that,

Class Rep can leave anytime if in mental or physical distress. They may also quit if the teacher responsible for the class seems to be using or taking advantage of the duties of a Rep and uses it as an excuse to pile on work onto the student/students. Another way they could leave their role is if they are out-voted, deselected or if they simply do not want the role anymore. The class teacher should not force the pupil to stay, neither should the other students.

So Marinette can leave whenever she wants. Its in the book. It even explicitly states that she may leave anytime. Its her choice." Isis turned to Mari. "So do you want to stay Class Rep?"

Marinette turned to face the class. One word was all she needed to say.

"No."
