Betrayed

Chapter 9: Questionare

After getting past the overall shock, the flood of questions began.

"How is it possible?"

"When did you find out that you could mind read?"

"Do you have any other abilities apart from being a mind reader?"

"Do you know why you can mind read?"

"Guys, slow down. I've got a few hours to burn before I have to go to Ireland to check on a few things so ask your questions and I will answer to the best of my abilities." Damian, the youngest, asked first,

"When did you find out?"

"Seven years ago. I was nine when I found out." They all looked shocked but quickly covered it up. Bruce stepped up next,

"Why did you call us here in the first place?"

"Well I've recently moved into a new school and I read everyone's minds and saw my friend turned enemy Lila Rossi. She was still lying and I could see that she had a lot of blood on her hands: seven suicides and three kills by her followers. She was going for her next target, a girl called Marinette Dupain Cheng. This girl is extremely important and powerful but not in the way that you think. If she is killed or anything else happens to her, the world's balance could be disrupted or even destroyed entirely. A trip to Gotham would be good, but you decide how to expose her."

Jason then looked at Isis and asked,

"Why can't you do it? It can't be that hard?"

"I do not have the power, money or resources to do this. Lila is clever with the way she plays her cards but every human makes mistakes so we need to strike when she fumbles."

Tim looked up at Isis deep bags under his eyes "When do we start?" 

"As soon as you can. Now I need to head to London to sort out a few things. Adiós!" Isis was to a blank wall and placed her hand on it. It opened up to a futuristic style tube. She typed Ireland into the keypad next to her and stepped in.
