''If you think that I can fake that many deaths, why would you think that your daughter isn't alive as well?''
I watched as she no longer tried to contain her tears. She did always love my sister.
''Sa-Samar?'' She sobbed her voice filled with both hope and pain as her tears slid over her scarred cheeks. I smiled at her.
''Yes.''
''She-she's alive?!''
''Is she mother?''
I heard the sound of cars coming closer, so I locked the door of the basement.
''Where is she?! Where's my baby??''
I let out a laugh as the sirens moved closer.
''Only I know mother, now tell me,'' I grabbed some more salt and put it on her face.
I could now hear people trying to open the front door.
''Who's going to believe you?''
I grabbed the gun and put it against my own head.
''What are you doing?! Don't do it KEVIN WHERE IS SHE! WHERE'S MY DAUGHTER? WHERE IS SAMAR? TELL ME!''
"Alice was right! I lived my life waiting for the perfect moment of revenge where I could torment you and take your life, but it won't fix anything! It won't fix me, mother! Because you broke me! You hurt me and the only thing that could come close to the pain that you made me feel is not knowing. Not knowing if I managed to save your own daughter from you or if you killed her. All while you rot in jail unable to search for her.''
She violently struggled against the ropes.
''Allice and the girls will disappear leaving no trace behind. People will assume she killed her father and ran and the rest of them are dead in the eyes of the world. No one will believe your story!'' I laughed.
'So who will even search for someone that's already presumed to be dead?''
She cried. For the very first time, she was the one who cried. I couldn't help but laugh as tears streamed down my own face. I could vaguely hear my father's scream outside of the basement door, so I walked towards my mother, untying the ropes.
I put the gun inside her hand and pressed it against my head. ''Cry for me. Cry for me mother!'' I heard a shot, and everything went white.
I finally felt at peace while seeing my little sister in the light.
