SUMMARY REACTION: SWEET HAVEN CHAPTERS 8-14

The following chapters, the life of Naia, Luth, Daniel and Narita continues. Other characters like Atty. Joel Furton will also take part in unfolding the truth behind the leaked scandal of the three girls where one victim is an underage. Secrets, lies and secret pains of the characters will be revealed in the next few chapters. Narita and her daughter will finally meet with each other. Naia's father will be unveiled. Antonia's story will be shed apart. And Daniel's relationship with his family will continue to drift. Throughout Chapters 15 to 21, Pastor Family continues to show off different ways of coping up and viewing their current situation and future endeavors as a family.

In the fifteenth chapter, Daniel finds it ridiculous that his daughter, Narita and his granddaughter, Naia are giving each other the cold shoulder. It has been two days since Narita arrived from Manila. Ever since then, Naia has avoided her mother. Narita have had glimpses of her but still, her daughter was being irrational. She then stared at her father and visualized him how strangers would. Daniel was a slow moving, sad, diplomatic man who varies the pitches of his voice. His voice would rise in tenor like a pastor preaching from the pulpit whenever enthusiasm got to him. Narita then wondered if his father believes in God at all. He always goes to Sweethaven Church alongside with her mother, Luth who was raised as Catholic but converted for his sake.

A cellphone chirped from Naia's room. She has received a new message; in fact she has a bunch of those from her unknown support system. Narita thought. She then decided to cut the internet connection of her daughter, whom Naia improvised for her own use. But Daniel interjected saying things like they don't own any gadgets of Naia. All of her luxuries were from Antonia. The net and the phone are the only means of communication that both Naia and Antonia has. Daniel proceeded to convince her that Naia needs Narita the most for she was her mother. Narita knows it was all a lie for her daughter hates her and only wants Antonia.

Around twelve midnight, when Narita was lying on the living room couch. A door opened and the kitchen was then illuminated. There, Naia was eating spoonfuls of her dinner. She was then astonished when her mother entered and sank to her chair, having no other option to do. Naia then asked her mother what she was doing in Donastia. All Narita wanted was to bring Naia back to Manila. Her daughter just laugh at her, saying that it will be very impossible for her to go back to Manila. Naia was once fooled by Narita's empty promises but now she won't. Another text was received by Naia and so she left her mother at the kitchen, cutting their conversation. Narita was too numb to cry, blaming her father for giving her false hope and she even wondered if Naia's was her daughter at all. Through Naia's features, she was then reminded of the man who betrayed her – Zenon. She first spotted him at the faculty office of the English department, where he was so desperate to enter the office after flunking his literature subject. It was only after a semester when she saw him again. They were classmates in literature, the same subject where Zenon has flunked. She had wanted to seduce him for a long time. And finally, during midterm week and a day before Zenon's birthday, they had gone all the way. Narita gave her virginity as Zenon's eighteenth birthday, best present any teenage boy could ask for. But four weeks later, Zenon has changed as if he was no longer attracted to her and her body. One time, they had fought violently at the beach, pelting each other with handful of sands, scraping corals to each other, but ended up having sex with each other. Even in Manila, Zenon would haunt her in her dreams and imaginations.

The sixteenth chapter started with Narita thinking of the bond Naia and Antonia has – it was unfair for her. She was like their paycheck – giving and pampering them months to months. Antonia had said that she has abandoned all her dreams that she would no longer go abroad. Now, all her life was revolving around Naia, her surrogate daughter. But one day, she had phoned Narita that she was in Manila and if she could meet her over coffee. Antonia then revealed that she's going out of the country for real this time. That she was getting married to man named Lasse Hakkinen who resides in Finland. She was then angry at Antonia's silence. So was her mother, Luth. Antonia does not love this guy but she will do everything for her ill, old parents.
