Y/N POV:

I stare at myself in front of the bathroom mirror, feeling pretty in my own skin for once. I'm wearing a white corset top with embroidered flowers and light blue jeans that, not gonna lie, make my bum look hot af. I've left my natural hair down and pulled the front sections to the back fastening it with a royal blue bow at the back that matches the flowers on my top.

As I add the final touches of my smokey eye makeup, Iris calls me to let me know she and her mum are out the front to take me.
"Bye, mum!" I yell down the corridor from the front door.
"Wait, Y/n! Come here! I wanna see how beautiful you look." Her voice echoes down the hall.

I jog to the family room and do a little spin in front of her.
"Wow! You look gorgeous sweetie." She says.
"Thanks mum, but I gotta go now. Iris and Mrs Stricker Are waiting for me out the front."
"Okay. See you later sweetie, have fun!" I give her a kiss goodbye.

"Let me know when you need me to pick you and Iris up. No later than 12 please." I hear her say as I make my way to the front door.
"All good mum I'll keep in touch. See ya!"
"Bye 'Moo." And with that I let myself out and head to Iris' car.

We arrive at Jenna's house after ten minutes and get out of the car, thanking Mrs Stricker for the ride.
"No worries girls. Be sensible please!" She tells us.
"We will mum!" Iris exclaims. "I love you! Byeeee!" She shuts the door and we watch her mum drive off down the street.

"AHHH! LET'S PARTY!" Iris jumps up and down on my shoulders with her hands. I laugh at her antics and we head over to the faint music coming from inside the house.

The party is lively to say the least. There are people downing shots, people dancing and people making out in the shadowed corners of the house.
"Hey guys!" Annette yells over the noise, walking towards Iris and me with Maddy.
"Crazy party!" I yell.
"Yeah! Our whole year must be here!" Maddy observes.

Iris nods, "I KNOW IT LOOKS SO FUN! LETS DANCE!" We all giggle at her enthusiasm and head to the middle of the room where everyone is dancing.

'Where Them Girls At' starts blasting out of the speaker and we all start jumping and dancing around. I hold Iris' hands and we jump around each other in a circle. My hair is going everywhere; bouncing around my face and shoulders as I sway my head side to side with the beat.

When a few songs are over, I excuse myself to get a drink in the kitchen. I'm already so out of breath. I watch my friends dancing around with a smile. I open a double black from one of the fridges, hearing a hiss of the carbon dioxide. I take a sip and turn to head out of the kitchen as someone is coming in the opposite direction. We crash into each other, making me spill half of my drink on their shirt.

I panic and apologise profusely, finally looking up to see who it is.
I gasp, meeting those wonderful green eyes from homeroom. I am momentarily lost for words and feel heat rise to my cheeks. I shake myself out of her trance and remember she is standing there soaked in alcohol. I quickly grab a tea towel from the bench, wetting it, and knocking over a few empty cans in the process, making her giggle and causing my cheeks to go even more red if that was possible. I started dabbing her to soak it up.

She just laughs at my flustered manner.
"I really am so, so sorry." I state, darting my eyes up to meet hers. She just chuckles.
"It's no bother, really. Don't worry about it." She says looking softly at me with a smile. Her accent was thick and alluring. I hadn't realised it in class this morning.

"I'm Wanda, by the way." She takes a small step towards me, backing me into the sink slightly.
"Yeah, I know. I- I mean... you were in my homeroom this morning." I internally curse myself.
