"What does the test say?" Ryujin asked as Lia came out of the bathroom, as she showed her the tape proving her negative status.

The blonde took the tape and looked at it with disappointment but nodded quickly towards her.

"Don't worry, it's okay" she stood up taking her face and gave her a light kiss on the forehead "we'll go to a specialist this week, now I have to go to work."

Lia clenched her jaw and nodded. But before she let her go, she hugged her around the waist as she looked at her closely.

"Why did you find it so hard to settle with me?" Ryujin looked at her seriously.

"Don't say that, I love you, you know.... But Jisu I want to have my children, you know that. We have a wonderful marriage and I want children, you always knew that, you've always known that, let's not argue about it again."

Lia took a deep breath and nodded.

She was sick of this constant bickering and didn't even know what the next step was.

"Fine, let me look for a specialist, you work too hard and I'll take care of this matter."

Ryujin looked at her for a moment and stroked her cheek.

"Fine, I trust you" leaving her a short kiss on her lips, Ryujin shot out of her huge mansion, while her chauffeur took over the wheel and she was lost in her thoughts.

Lia saw her through a huge balcony as she exited the residence and then ran to dial the number of her best friend, Somi.

"I need your help, urgently."

They planned to meet at some expensive cafe in the city, during the call and she quickly arranged to be on time.

"So what are you going to do? You're supposed to tell her you're not on birth control anymore"

"I don't want to get pregnant! How is that so hard to understand? Ryujin will look at other women and what about me? I'll be a fat woman with a huge ball in my perfect wasp waist that has been designed by the best surgeons. I don't want to, I don't want to!"

Somi rolled her eyes at her tantrum, to say that Lia was the luckiest woman in all of Korea was not just a compliment, because Shin Ryujin, was one of the most correct women she had ever been able to meet. If she had asked her for five children, she wouldn't have given it a second thought.

"And what are you supposed to do now that she want visit a specialist? That's crazy, Jisu, now you're making her see that you have a problem having children" Somi refuted, sipping from her teacup.

"I don't know... Why do you think you're here? To help me, Somi!"

"Me?" The blonde's eyes widened in disbelief.

"You work in a clinic, find a doctor who will get a proper amount of money for this, and tell Ryujin that I'm the one with the problem!"

Somi blinked, thoroughly impressed.

"Girl, don't you think you're taking this too far?"

But Lia denied.

"I won't harm my body, I won't give in to Ryujin's request to fill me with children."

Somi set the cup down on the table and then passed a drink.

"I'll try to do something, give me some time during the afternoon and I'll call you."

"Okay, but make it quick, I've never seen Ryujin in this condition before, I mean, she used to fight and bring up the subject at every nothing. But now she's so quiet, so thoughtful, it even scares me."

"She's tired..." Somi said as Lia glared at her "What? I've told you so many times... You accepted her tastes when you both got married and you agreed with her, when she expressed it to you, that the most important thing for her was family"

With her annoyed face, Lia didn't pay much attention to her and then typed quickly on her phone to tell her assistant to pass on all her pending for the afternoon.

She could be gone for a whole month from her design firm and Yeji skillfully could solve all her problems at work, so she trusted her completely, plus she had literally sold her soul to her.

And from time to time, Lia would take advantage of that.

Yeji put the sheet down on top of her desk, as her hands shook. She was on the verge of tears, but held back because she was at work and she was really the face of this business, when Mrs. Shin wasn't around.

Her phone blinked on a notification, and she checked that her boss had notified her to pass everything by for the afternoon and sighed knowing that work was her breathing.

She then brought her hands to her light brown hair and then closed her eyes to suck in a breath of air.

What was she going to do now? Ask Miss Lia for another loan? It was already too much of a breach of trust, and how much did she owe her?

Her heart dropped to her stomach when she saw the mortgage figure for her parents' house, and she knew that it was impossible to pay it off before the time stipulated there.

She had told her parents to leave Korea, it was an expensive city, but they were very attached to the patrimonial house that had been passed down from generation to generation to her father Hyuyoung and her mother Seulgi who followed him in all his decisions without complaint.

She did not complain about her family, she had the most beautiful of all, along with her sister Lucy, who would soon be 9 years old. But when it came to money, they had not been the luckiest and it seemed that debts were running them down every month.

Yeji stood up from her post, adjusting her black dress that was the peculiar color of the uniform that all the employees of that place had. It wasn't just any uniform, hers was a unique design that Lia had made to show off to others about her employees.

She worked in a beautiful building of only three floors, spacious and long, full of offices, divided in a particular way. The designs, sewing and sales were displayed on the second floors, but the management of the company was on this floor, which Yeji controlled in its entirety.

She did everything pertaining to Lia's request and then sent a message to her mother to tell her to stay calm, that she would sort it out.

But the truth was that she didn't know how, she didn't know how to get such a large amount out of the mortgage, nor how to continue to afford her family, now that her father was disabled for life, when a few months ago he had had an accident at his construction job.

Her mother had always been a homemaker, and she had paid for her own studies by working part-time, leaving the dream half-finished for years.

Now that she thought about it, she no longer had the strength, and the only solution was to talk to her boss to whom, in these instances, she owed a fortune.
