ORANGE TEXAS.

The city is destroyed, abandoned, and frozen over under heavy snow. The only people around using what's left are mercenaries belonging to The Dark Core, led by The Dark Core Leaders. They have patrols running through the city, looking for US Soldiers or civilian refugees. Enemies to their cause.

The Dark Core have been active for seven months, growing in every way in this wasteland of broken cities that consisted of snowy mountains, hard rain, and snowstorms. They're powerful and dangerous, advancing their weapons, purging their weaknesses, and Increasing their strengths.

The Dark Core have converted the large abandoned tower once known as The Unity Building as their HQ and renamed it the Dark Tower. But just north of the Dark Tower, deep in the snowy woodland forest, Dark Core Leader Shade was working on a device. The device's shape forming a large black control console. She was on a knee, screwing a metal panel to the side of the device.

"Yo, You lookin busy, Girl!" Nitro said as he and fellow Dark Core Leaders Knight and Ravage walked through the woods and snow. As they approached Shade, Knight began to ask her questions as she went for the controls of the console, a large area of glowing lights, numerous buttons, and many dials.

"Well, Miss Sky. How's the portal going?" Knight asked, his usual nice voice speaking calm and kindly. Hearing his voice alone wouldn't make one think he was the leader of a terrorist organization bent on world domination.

Instead of just military might, The Dark Core also sought out power. Power beyond that of only science. but only one Dark Core Leader has power like that. Untapped and Untamed, but still power. But this device would hopefully help them obtain more of that power.

"It's working fine, I guess." Shade said as she was typing into the console. "What do you mean 'guess'?" Knight asked as he moved closer, Nitro and Ravage moving to the sides of the console. "Well, yeah, it's operational, but I don't think...." she said, pausing to think of her words. "I don't think this is very wise, Daniel...." she said hesitantly.

"What!?" Knight asked with a small laugh. "This is a good idea, I know it. Phantom crawled outta hell with a blade capable of killing both Angels and Demons permanently. And that trip gave him some... abilities. If I can send our soldiers down there and they walk out with weapons like that, we'd be unstoppable. Trust me, this is the wisest decision I could ever make." Knight reassured her.

"How about you do what Daniel says, Babe. Pretty girl like you ain't got no need to stress." Nitro said over Shade's shoulder, making her shiver in disgust. "Enough, Nitro. What'd I tell you about that? Do it again and I'll give Phantom permission to reeducate you on the concept of manners." Knight said in annoyance of Nitro.

"As you say, Boss..." Nitro said as he wandered his way over to a tree. "Since Phantom's can kill demons, shouldn't he be here incase this goes wrong?" She asked, continuing to type away at the console.

"Gave him some time off. Plus, Phantom discovered a holy mixture for us to put into flamethrower fuel. Any Dark Core flamethrower will kill 'em." Knight said. "Besides, Phantom's my greatest fighter. I can't risk losing him too because he can't think straight. He hasn't been himself since... Eclipse..." Knight said. Shade crossed her arms.

"Relax. These two can handle it.  Don't worry. If something real bad happens, I'll get Phantom. With Sarah gone, we can't risk heavy hits. All Dark Core operatives have their orders." said Knight. "Now, Miss Sky. Let's get started."

"As you command, Daniel..."
