"Guess Crimson's first on the list. This should be easy." Phantom laughed. "Remember what I asked." Charlie said. "I'll think about it." Phantom said as he opened the door to his left and entered a large room. "I mean it!" Charlie shouted. "Excuse you?" He asked, finding an old, dusty air vent. "I will not allow my people to die without a chance you go back home! I mean it! You will not kill my people!" Charlie demanded. "I will end their lives. In self defense, of course." He told her, ripping the vent off its hinges. "Well!... well. That's different..." Charlie said. "Class dismissed." He said.
As Phantom entered the vent, he noticed the grating to the left that showed hundreds of thugs, counting cash, loading guns, and all wearing the Vees arm band. "They all work for them. How did they get so many people to work for them in just a week? And why work with Edge? Something's off." He said. "Maybe money? That's a good motivator for criminals, isn't it?" Charlie suggested. "For the criminals, that makes sense. But what does Edge offer demon lords?" He asked.
DARK CORE TOWER.
KNIGHT'S OFFICE.
"Finally! I've been waiting!" Blitz groaned from a chair while Knight walked into the room. "Ah, Blitz. How are you?" Knight groaned as he and Star walked in. "How am I? I'm a half hour of waiting, how about you!?" Blitz stomped over to the front of the Knight's desk as they placed their helmets on the edge of the table. "I do apologize, Blitz, but I had a... meeting." Daniel brushed his blonde hair in place.
"That meeting. How'd it go?..." Diana asked. "Oh, it went well. I think she understands." Daniel said. "Yeah, yeah, you're a busy guy, I get it, so am I. Now. Why am I here?" Blitz asked. "You're here so we can discuss a few things." Daniel said as he tried not to smile at Blitz's short stature barely being able to peek over the table. "Yeah? Like what?" He asked. "Like this..." Daniel pressed a button on his desk as a silver hologram of someone appeared. Daniel looked at him. "You know who this is?" Daniel asked.
"That's Striker..." Blitz said, staring at his sharp grin. "Well. Striker here is the one responsible for the bombing of Miss Morningstar's room. Our tower's cameras were knocked out. But cameras around the tower on the streets spotted him sneaking through our ventilation system from outside. That's how he did it." Daniel explained. "We also have this..." Diana pressed a button on the console, a new hologram of Maria Shaw on top of Dark Mountain appearing on the table. "That is Maria Shaw. Our Dark Vision. After the bombing, we went to her to get answers. But our security cameras found Striker... cutting her head off." Star you explained.
"If she knew everything and always knew about it all, why did you do something stupid and leave her in the open like that?" Blitz asked, watching the hologram blood drip down Maria's body. "Well, first off, she couldn't control her abilities fully anyway. And our enemies knew where she was. We set traps for anyone who made it up the mountain. But they were also disabled. Strangely enough... according to our security settings, our traps were disabled LONG before any of you showed up." Knight told him.
"Anyway, the reason you're here is to tell us everything about Striker and what you know. Then we can handle it." Star told him, turning off the hologram. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! If anyone's handling him, it's me!" Blitz said. "Who do you even plan on sending out?" He asked. "Phantom." Star said. "Oh yeah? Who's that again?" Blitz smiled. "He's the one who drop you and your hitmen group in about ten seconds." Daniel smiled. "Oh... yeah, ok. Well, I'm joining him!" Blitz said. "Sorry, but he works alone. Think about it like this though. You telling us everything you know about him, IS JOINING HIM! Kinda! Riiiight?" Knight suggested. "Yeah. Yeah, no." Blitz said as Loona walked into the doorway.
"Oh, hey again, Loonie!" Blitz smiled, and Daniel and Diana could swear they saw hearts floating around him. "Uh, hey, Blitz. I'm, uh... here to talk to Knight." Loona explained nervously. "Oh, that's fine! Come on in, take a seat! I was talking to your father." Daniel waved her in. "Uh, actually, adopted. Soooo... Yeah." Loona sat in the chair next to Blitz in front of the desk. "Oh... uh..." Daniel looked up at his wife confused. "I'm... sorry to hear that?..." Daniel smiled awkwardly. "Anyway, how can I help you?" Daniel smiled. "Uh, well. I wanted to know what your plans were with... Vortex." Loona gritted her teeth and shut her eyes as Blitz looked at her with protective hate.
