After the battle with Lute, she was captured by The Dark Core, and soldiers were dispatched to handle relocation. On a roof overlooking The Love Boat, Phantom and Vaggie were standing on the edge of building.
"So the neoshields are keeping you from getting the Vees. How do they prevent soul steel and magic?" Vaggie asked while she sat on an air conditioning unit of the roof. "I'm checking now..." Phantom said as he looked over a red holographic blueprint of The Love Boat.
"Their phones are blocked off tracking. They have chips stolen for that. The same we use for our own phones, and now all yours. Their ship? The neoshield is powered by a soul crystal. A powerful and rare type of stone, capable of powering anything. They have a generator powering their shields internally. I'll need to find another way in if I want to handle The Vees again." Phantom explained.
"So we try to find another way in? How do we do that?" Vaggie hopped off the AC Unit. "Yeah, that's cute. You weren't there. I got Valentino to give me information before Lute showed up. He told me Edge's right hand lieutenant was acting skittish. Like he was worried for Edge and himself." Phantom explained. "Yeah, they picked a fight with The Dark Core, and another universe daughter of Lucifer who has dangerous friends. Of course Edge and his people are getting nervous..." Vaggie crossed her arms. "No, no. This is something else. It sounds like Edge's lieutenant was having issues." He said. "Like... what kind?" Vaggie asked, raising a brow.
"Valentino said he sent demon girls to Narazis Motel with Edge's lieutenant. All to calm him down." Phantom air quoted. "After some time, they called Valentino. He told me it sounded like a break in. If Edge's right hand is in trouble, I need to find him before anyone else does." Phantom explained. "Ok, let's go." Vaggie said. "You will only help me on this part. After that, you're back to the tower. I don't like to work with others." Phantom checked his weaponry. "Yeah, we'll see about that." Vaggie rolled her eyes. Phantom looked over the building's edge and saw his car pull up in the snow. "Yeah, we'll see." Phantom sighed.
DARK TOWER TRAINING AREA.
"Come on, come on!" Dark soldiers in a massive crowd cheered as Loona and Millie sat on a workout bench behind the cheering crowd.
"You ok, girl?" Millie asked as she popped a seat next to Loona. "Yeah, old lady, I'm fine! Don't worry about it..." Loona groaned as she looked away. "Well, you don't seem fine." Millie tried to put a hand on her shoulder before Loona scooted down the bench. Millie let out a heavy sigh. "Loona..." Millie looked at her. "I don't need to listen to you, old woman." Loona growled. "Look. You and I, we don't get along, I get that. But... you and I both know damn well that we ain't got the luxury of being frenemies anymore." Millie said, trying to fight a smile. "I mean, we're in a whole nother universe for crying out loud!" Millie laughed.
"And?" Loona rolled her eyes. "And... we need to watch out for each other. We can't be against each other here. To make sure we get back home safe. Loona, I'm here for you if you'd like. I'll help you. Just as long as you... let me." Millie put her hand on her furred shoulder. Loona's eyes shot wide. She and Millie hadn't exactly been kind to each other. But now in their situation. Maybe... it would be a welcome change. "Ok. Ok, ok... There is something..." Loona said quietly. "Oh, sure, girl! What is it?" Millie asked, scooting closer.
"Me and Blitz had a fight... He... I... He gets on my nerves. I'm taking... a type of chance on a guy. Vortex. He was locked up, and... I talked to him about loyalties... I convinced Knight to consider letting him go. I don't know how'll it'll play out. Anyway, Blitz didn't like it. I think he can tell... something..." Loona blushed. "Vortex? Wait I remember now, he was the same hell hound at Miami with Mayday, wasn't he? Yeah, Blitz went all overprotective on you two..." Millie tried not to smile. "Yeah..." Loona sighed. Millie saw it. Loona was close to the explosion.
"Ok, sister, finish tellin me..." Millie scooted closer again. "Anyway. Earlier tonight, I blew up. He said he didn't approve. And I... just... I was honest. I told him I didn't approve on adopting me. Getting my ass sucked into another universe. Treating me like a kid. Controlling my life. And more..." Loona said. "Ah, yeah... that makes sense. What are you? 22? Yeah, it'd make sense that you'd get fed up. But there's better ways to tell someone something. Like if someone has a weight problem, you don't NEED. To fax them. An add. For weight loss..." Millie nudged Loona's arm. Loona smiled and shrugged her shoulder.
"Anyway, Loona. Don't lie, deep down, you love Blitz. You just need to... be patient. And explain your issues. And understand his." Millie suggested. "Yeah. Maybe... Maybe that's a good idea..." Loona sighed. "So. Is that pure care giving me advice, or is it pregnancy hormones?" Loona asked. "Ok, fuck you for that." Millie and Loona laughed. "One! More! Time!" The soldiers chanted again. "I don't know about you, but I wanna see what's going on!" Millie hopped off the bench. "I kinda do too..." Loona walked with her.
"Another!" They screamed again. Loona and Millie stood behind the crowds, looking between the soldiers to see Nitro at a bench press, lifting what had to be 1,000 pounds of weight. "Come on, don't you fuckin quit!" Ravage shouted as he watched his Dark Core brother. "And! One......" Nitro struggled to lift again. "Hundred!!!!!" Nitro set the press down and jumped up to the crowd, flexing proudly. "Now that's what you call Dark Core might! Who thinks they can do better than me!?!? Huh!? Come on now, ain't nobody gonna show up the Big Dawg!" Nitro cheered.
"What about you two?..." Nitro noticed Millie and Loona. "What, you two think y'all can take me?..." Nitro stood over them. "Ha! Didn't we already do that!?" Millie laughed. "Yeah, you really funny..." Nitro rolled his shoulder in anger. "Ah, Nitro, maybe they need a lesson!" Ravage laughed from the bench. "Just thinking that!" Nitro said. "Hey, dude. Why don't you chill out? Before we get some issues?..." said someone behind Nitro. "Yo, PAUSE!!! Who the FUCKS talkin to me like that!?!?!?" Nitro turned around to see Vortex. "Ah, hell nah, I ain't takin shit from a furry motha fucka, ha, ha..." Nitro laughed.
"Alright, dude, I hear you..." Vortex smiled as magic swirled around. And in seconds Vortex took a human form. "Woah..." Ravage said in awe. "Yo, it's another black guy... Yo, Rigg, you got competition!" Ravage laughed. "I don't think so, look at him! You know, you a helluva lot more smaller like this, Little Dawg..." Nitro stood over him. "Really?" Vortex scoffed and shook his head. He looked over at Nitro's bench. "That how much you lift?" Vortex asked. Nitro laughed. "Damn straight. Take some notes, boy." Nitro smiled.
"That with or without bioroids?" Vortex smirked. "Oooh, ok. You want some?" Nitro got ready for a fight. "Woah, hey, hey! No fights!" Loona stepped in between them. "Ah, it's alright, Loon. I was just educating him on manners, that's all." Vortex said as he reverted back to his hell hound form. "Yo, Rigg, I'm bored! Let's get drinks." Ravage walked off. "Man, fuck that, I'm out! Tried of these reject Adventure Time characters..." Nitro stormed out of the training area.
"So, Tex! You're out! They let you go!" Loona smiled, blushing slightly. She looked at Millie who smiled, nodded and walked off. "Yeah, they did. In return I told them everything I knew about Edge and his operations. Now I'm out. Now look, I'm new to this building and still getting bearings around here. Wanna show me where I can drink?" Vortex asked as Loona's face turned from white to red. "Uhhh, YeAh! I mean! Ahem! Yeah, sure." She said nervously as she brushed her hair back. "Alright, cool, girl, let's go." Vortex nudged her to the elevator.
Eventually they made it to the elevator, stepping in as Loona hit the button to the 12th floor for the bar. "Alright, so how are the drinks around here, girl?" Vortex asked, leaning against the elevator wall. "Ah, well, they have the cat bartender from that Hazbin Hotel working it. He makes earth drinks, and drinks more familiar." Loona said. "But, uh... Nothing as good as what Bee makes, I'm sure..." Loona said. "Ah, actually, uh... I'd rather not talk about her..." Vortex said, clearing his throat. "Oh, I'm sorry. What happened?" Loona asked.
"Hmm. Well... we, uh... we split. She kept talking about Satan and all. Told her I wasn't comfortable and all that. We had a bit of a fight. Now I'm back on the market. Anyway, how's your love life been?" Tex asked. "Ah, well... there is... one guy. But I doubt he'd feel the same. Also I don't think I'd want to go through the judgment of it..." Loona sighed. "Mmm, I feel ya. When I started dating Bee, I was nervous. I mean, a Sin dating a hell hound? Unheard of." Vortex smiled. "Who were you talking about?" Vortex asked. "Hmm? Oh! It's... you know, it doesn't matter." Loona said as the elevator stopped. "You wanna get drinks now?" Loona nudged him. "Yeah. Yeah, I'd like that. Let's go."
