"I time travelled to the future." Five folded his hands together in his lap.

"The future?" Luther's eyes widened.

"Yes. That's what I said." Five had to restrain himself from rolling his eyes at him.

"It wasn't my intention to travel so far into the future, and then I got stuck. I couldn't blink anymore. I was stuck in an apocalypse, with absolutely no way out."

Recalling the memories of the destruction had always been hard. Even though Octavia had only been there for a little while, it had shaken her to her core, making her fear coming back to a time before the apocalypse.

"I was stuck there for 10 years. Until someone came and offered me a way out. Looking back, I don't know if it was the best option." The boy sighed heavily.

"When's it supposed to happen?" Luther asked after Five stayed quiet. "This... apocalypse."

"I can't give you the exact hour, but..." Five hesitated. "From what I could gather, we have four days left."

"Why didn't you say something sooner?" Luther's voice raised.

"It wouldn't have mattered." Five glanced at the ground and Octavia nodded, a melancholy look on her face.

"Of course it would." Luther sounded pretty offended about being kept in the dark about the end of the world. "We could have banded together and help you try to stop this thing."

"For the record, you already tried." Five focused his attention on Luther again.

"What do you mean?" Luther questioned, making Five look over at Octavia. The girl gave him a tight-lipped smile and a small nod.

"I found all of you." The boy carefully chose his words. "Your bodies. The only one I didn't find was Tavia's. I kept on hoping she'd survived somehow."

"We die?" Luther swallowed.

"Horribly. You were together, trying to stop whoever it was that ends the world."

"Wait, how do you know that?" Luther's brows immediately furrowed.

Five silently pulled a piece of cloth out of his pocket, one that Octavia knew all too well. Folding it open, he held out the prosthetic eye.

"This was clutched in your dead hand when I found you." He threw the eye at Luther, who easily caught it. "Must've ripped it out of their head right before you went down."

Frightened, Luther glanced up at Five. "Whose head?"

"Like he said, we don't know." Octavia sighed.

"Well, there's a serial number on the back." Luther inspected the eye, turning it around and checking every part of it. "Think maybe you could try-"

"No, that's a dead end." Five interrupted him, chuckling. "It's just another hunk of glass."

Hesitantly, Luther handed the eye back over to Five, and at the same time, the door opened and Diego stormed into the room.
