After reading the letter, it was all a blur from then on. I had fell to the ground, unable to control my breathing. I hadn't had a panic attack for years but all that I could do was claw at my throat begging for the sweet relief of fresh air.

I wasn't sure who it was when I was lifted by my arms from the ground, or who had taken me to my room that night but I'm sure I remembered seeing that mop of black hair through my teary eyes. All I could wonder is why.

Why didn't he give me that letter? Did he want me to miss that meeting and then my gate would've been decided for me. Did he truly hate me that much that he had went out of his way to keep this from me.

Surely he knew I would've found out sooner or later.

I cried myself to sleep that night, not caring about a single person seeing me that weak. I didn't care anymore, now I was just a toy for Voldemort to do as he pleased with, I had no other choice.

I couldn't lose my family and friends. I couldn't lose the status that I had become so used to and all the money that came along with it. I had no where to run or hide, my only option was becoming a death eater.

I didn't know what time it was when I had woken up but I could tell that I had surely missed a few classes. The way the sun shone through the emerald green curtains and the clock pointing towards the number twelve dead centre. But I wasn't worried. School was nothing compared to the future that was now written for me.

I rubbed my eyes with enough pressure to feel like I had entered a new galaxy, wishing I could stay in that moment forever with my eyes permanently closed. This was no life to live for a teenage girl and I hadn't even seen the worst of it yet.

But unfortunately it had to come to an end when I heard a cough come from the bed next to mine.

I looked over, Regulus was sat on the edge of Leila's bed fully clothed with a smile painted across his face. What the fuck did he have to be so happy about.

I shot up into a sitting position, covering my body quickly as I noticed one of my friends had dressed me in my sleep shorts and top last night. Once everything had settled in I narrowed my eyes on him.

Not caring about how little I was covered, I threw the sheets from my body and jumped out of bed quickly. It was a short distance between the two beds so I was towering above him as soon as I was standing.

"You fucking prick!" I shouted, hammering down on his chest with my fists.

He barely even flinched as I pummelled my fists into him, hitting with all the strength I could muster. Considering I had just awoke, it wasn't much.

"How dare you not tell me! Is this really how much you hate me? You wanted to keep this from me so they would declare me their enemy!" I shouted, slowing down my punches when he made no attempt to move.

Soon enough I stopped, not feeling any satisfaction from him just sat there with so much as a slight smile. He stood up from the bed and now he was easily towering above me.

"Yes. That is exactly how much I hate you"

He turned and left the room, leaving me speechless.

Leila and Alecto had informed the professors that I was feeling under the weather, that had excused me for two days. But I had things to do, I couldn't keep myself cooped up in this dorm forever.

If I was going to take that damned mark, I was going to look good doing so. So when it came to Wednesday, I snuck out of the castle and apparated straight to Diagon Alley.
