After a long Drive and staying in a motel and back on the road we finally made it back to Texas. I did try calling Sage several times just to see if she would pick up and it would go straight to voice mail.

Once I got to Sage's house I put the car in park. All the sudden I see Sage come rushing outside. I tried calling you is everything okay? I ask as I get out of the car. She brings me in for a hug. You shouldn't be here. She whispers in my ear.

What's going on? I whisper back. Where's James? Sage asks letting me go. In the car. I say with a questioning look. She walks to the back door to get him out. Hey baby did you have a good time with Aunt K? Sage asks with a smile.

Ya! James says with a big smile and nodding his head. Great! Lets get you inside. Sage says with a smile. I give her questioning look. I follow her to her house and she puts James inside and steps back outside to talk to me.

I glance down and see her hands shaking. Which house do I need to visit? I ask already knowing someone visited her. Your step-dads. She says looking down.

I bring her in for a tight hug. I love you. I say with a small smile. I love you too. She says with a sad smile.

Please be safe. Sage says with a sad look. I just nod my head to her and walk off. I get back in my car and head to his house fuming with anger.

Once I pull up in the drive way I slam the car into park and get out and slam my door shut. I rush up to the door and bang on it. The door swings open and I see my mother. Well, looks like you showed up after all. My mother says with a knowing grin.

Sage isn't hurt she's just fine. I say glaring at her. Come in and talk please. she says with a straight face. I walk in cautiously. I follow her to the living room.

Where's dad? I ask as I sit on the couch across from her. Would you like some Whiskey? She asks. "Don't it could be a trap, she's too calm what do they have planned?" I'm good thank you though. I say crossing my arms.

She lets out a sigh. We paid Sage to not answer her phone so you'd have to come back and check on her. She says taking a sip of the whiskey. No one touched her? I ask glaring at her.

She lets out a mocking laugh. No, we didn't touch her, just threatened her and her son's life. She says rolling her eyes. None if you will touch them. I say gritting my teeth. We just wanted you here. She says placing her cup on the table.

Are you not going to drink that? She asks as she glances between me and the glass. Nope, I'm not like that anymore. I say moving around in my seat. You really have changed. She says with an amused look.

Mason misses you. My mother casually says. Good for him. I say rolling my eyes. I don't like this new guy your seeing, he'll turn on you. She says eyeing me. I let out a laugh. Now you wanna act like a mother to me? I ask feeling anger rise inside me.

I've always been your mother Rya, and I'm just warning you. She says rolling her eyes. Warning me about what? I ask rubbing my hands down my face. You're seeing a guy named Jeremy correct? She asks raising her eyebrows. How do you know this? I ask. I have my ways. She says picking her glass back up and finishing it off.

Drink your whiskey. She says glaring at me. No. I say glaring back at her. " What does she have planned?" I hear a door open and slam shut. I flinch at the sound knowing exactly who just walked in. Did she drink it? He asks. Nope, she refused. My mother says crossing her arms.

She's your mother you listen to her, to us. He says. No, I won't listen to either of you. I say gritting my teeth. Stupid bitch have it your way then. He says and I feel him yank me up by my hair and throws me on the ground.

Do what you want with me, I don't care anymore. I say trying to sit up but he kicks me in my gut. Ahh. I cry out and lay my head on the ground as I put my arms over my stomach. Should've let Mason kill you the first time when he had the chance. He says.

Leave this guy and get back with Mason and we'll leave Sage and James alone. He says as he paces back and forth. I'll do whatever just don't hurt Sage or James. I say. He grabs my phone from my back pocket and starts typing on it.

What are you doing? I ask as I try to get back up and he puts his foot on my back pressing me back down to the floor. Sending him a message that y'all are done, you won't be seeing him anymore. He says as he throws the phone on the floor next to my head.

Next thing I know I'm feel something hit my head hard and I'm out cold.

~Jeremy's pov~

I just got of the phone with my producer telling me about Avengers Endgame Movie I need to play in when I get a text from Rya.

Rya~ I'm sorry but we're done, I'm getting back with Mason.. It's nothing you did, I just realized I still love Mason.

"I don't understand... This doesn't seem right, this can't be right." I tried calling her phone but it'd go straight to voicemail.

Me~ Will you please answer the phone?

I decided to call Scarlet and told her about it. She says I need to give it time... maybe her parents have something to do with it.

I decide to sleep it off and hope that this is just some messed up dream... I take a shower and check my phone before going to bed. Still nothing....

I hear my alarm go off and I reach over and turn it off... I reach over to the other side of the bed hoping Ryas there but she's not.

I check my phone and I have another message from her...

Rya~ I can't I'm sorry, just know I'll always care about you..

Me~ If you care about me then please come back home. come back to me..

As much as I want to just lay here in bed and hope and pray that she changes her mind and comes back to me I have to get ready for work.

~Ryas pov~ ~Time skip 2 months later~

~Whip~ Ahh! I yell out hanging my head low as he whips the belt across my back once again. You'd think all the beatings I use to give you, you'd learn a lesson... My step-dad says circling around me. he literally has my arms tied up in our shed.

Let her down Mason we're down with her for today... He says as he walks out. I feel Mason untying the knots. He catches me before my knees hit the ground.

This would've never happened if you would've just stayed with us or just move back in with me. Mason says as he picks me up bridal style and carries me to the bed they made for me in the shed.

So I could keep getting abused and cheated on and lied to, no thanks... I say coldly. Whatever, this was your choice... Mason says as he walks out of the shed and I can hear him lock it.

~ What if I never do escape them? What if me getting back with Mason is the only way to get some space from my parents.~

My thought get interrupted when I hear someone unlock the shed and open it. What do you want now Mason? I ask getting annoyed. It's not Mason. I hear my sister say. What do you want Olivia? I ask.

I heard you were back in town figured I'd come by and see you... Olivia says as she walks closer to me. Dad catches you in here we'll both get beaten. I say hoping she'd just leave. He's gone in town with mom, so, we have some time to catch up big sis. She says with a wicked grin.
