Alex, Poet, and Judo passed the threshold of the Portal, carrying with them the offering of food. They were on an Obsidian platform wedged into the side of Ender Island; if they turned around, they could look down into the endless dark below. But in front of them were some signs that appeared rather cheerful.

"Welcome to The End!" said one.

"Watch your head! (No, literally)." read another.

"Enjoy the Dragon before it eats!" said the last one, and it also had an arrow pointing toward the stairs carved in Endstone.

"Okay, let's take this food up there and use it as a distraction, that should give us some time to land hits on it," Alex said to the others, but they both appeared nervous. "Come on guys! We can do this."

Trying to show some team spirit, Poet and Judo nodded, then helped Alex carry the food offering up the stairs and onto Ender Island. The sky was as dark as the black below, and in high pillars were purple-ish pink crystals rotating and sending beams to the creature resting on a nest in the center of the Island. Alex watched as the swarm of Endermen wandered around, seeming to teleport aimlessly, except she saw one teleport all the way to the top of one of the Crystal Towers, appearing to help power the Crystal by merely touching it.

"This place is weird..." Alex whispered to the others.

They set the offering down just a few feet away from the sleeping Dragon, then they all started taking steps back, but then it woke up, a single eye snapping open and spotting the offering in front of it. From there, it got up so fast that it made Poet jump into Alex's arms and Judo hide behind them both, and Alex even appeared horrified as it bit into the bag and ripped it open, almost devouring all of the food in one gulp.

The Dragon then looked at the group cowering, and its jaws hung open with hunger as it walked for them, wings opening and stretching.

"Why, I was just about to come up for my feast," Ender's raspy voice spoke, then sighed. "Such pitiful food this time... a scrawny girl, bony Skeleton, and a meatless mutt."

"We're not food," Alex remarked as she tossed Poet to the ground, making him break into several bones but he regrouped into one figure quickly. Alex drew her Diamond Sword, the one Steve gave her, and showed it off to the Dragon. "We're the Dragon Seekers."

That caused the Dragon to stop in his tracks and gauff.

"The Dragon Seekers? Is that what you call yourselves?" asked the Dragon. "I think the 'Dragon Appetizers' is better..."

"Uhh..." Alex stammered, then looked at Poet and Judo. "Run!"

They all turned and ran to the nearest Tower base and hid behind it. Ender used his powerful wings to take flight, circling the Island in search of them and blasting a powerful ball of Dragon's Breath toward the ground near their feet. Alex reacted quickly, picking up Judo and tossing him forward with a bark and grabbing Poet by the wrist bone to pull him along with her. As they ran, she looked back to see how Poet was, finding that she had only half of him with her, and she shrieked, dropping him.

"Poet! Oh no!" she said, commenting on the fact that he was missing his other arm and the complete bottom half of his body, but he just shook his head vigorously, confirming that he was okay. "You're missing your legs! And a whole arm! How can you say you're okay??"

Poet then looked back at where they were blasted and his legs were running to him with his arm set atop of his hips, then it all snapped back into place with the rest of him like it never happened.

"Oh..." Alex said. "That's pretty awesome, Poet!"

He nodded, but then glanced quickly before shoving the group out of the way as the Dragon came crashing toward them.
