With a haunting detonation sound, the nearby buildings were engulfed by the code-devouring blasts of Error's blasters. The nearby monsters kept running away, but he just pulled on the pack of strings he was holding in his left hand, which destroyed the foundations of the houses ahead of them, making the constructions crumble and block the retreat of the timeline's inhabitants. Some stopped and simply looked at him, ready to accept death, even hugging their loved ones, as others desperately tried to climb over the barrage of debris, with no success.
Flashing his usual manic smile, Error summoned more blasters, and prepared to erase this pack of worthless incodes from existence. But suddenly, two long tendrils of black goo appeared out of thin air, and wrapped around the jaws of two blasters, keeping them from firing, and then bent and threw these skulls at other blasters, kicking them and messing up their aim, leading to the blasts hitting empty zones rather than the people they were destined for. At the sight of those dark tentacles, Error immediately thought of Nightmare. "You again ?!" He furiously yelled, before turning around to face... Ink. "Oh. It's you."
The two awkwardly stared at each other. Error knew, by seeing Ink's blank eyes, that he wasn't gonna make the first move, but the destroyer had been pretty busy lately, so it was the first time the 2 rivals saw each other after... at least 4 months. They weren't used to so much space between them, so Error was unsure how to start the conversation. "...Aren't you gonna say something like 'I won't let you destroy these innocent people', or something, so I can reply that they're just trash, as usual ?"
Ink had a hint of a smile appear over his face, before he answered. "Sorry, just didn't feel like wasting any time. I came here to talk more than anything else."
Another silence.
"...Is that some strategy to trap me and save them ?" asked Error as he pointed at the incodes who were slowly trying to go around the field that the eyesight of these two created, in hopes of escaping.
"I could, but I've been very occupied lately. Maybe later, but right now I've got more important stuff to attend to."
Pause.
"W̶̧͕̦͍͉̗͚̼̝̫̩̺͂̂̄̄̆͐͆͆͘͜͝Ḩ̶̡͈̭͙̥̫͇͙͍̜̙͕̹̿̌̀̕̚͜͠ͅȦ̷͔͚̠͛́͊̃̈́̓̍͐̓̃́̍̃̏͆͘T̴͕͕͈̅̎̔͋͊͌̓̈̊͂̆͒͘̕͘͝ ?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN, MORE IMPORTANT THAN THIS ?!" asked Error, visibly offended by this, which made the poor monsters shiver in fear. "I... THIS IS YOUR JOB TO STOP THAT KIND OF STUFF, YOU CAN'T JUST SHRUG IT OFF AND DO SOMETHING ELSE !!!"
"I know, but that was before I met some being capable of killing me. He's the one that deleted my emotions actually. So that's why I don't really care about what you just said right now, I've been like this for quite some time now."
"KILLING YOU ?! HOW COULD THAT BE ?! I'VE NEVER MANAGED TO GET RID OF YOU MYSELF ?"
Ink simply shrugged. "That's why I came to see you. Needed to see if you knew anything about them, or maybe you had seen some place empty of col-"
"WHO DO YOU TAKE ME FOR ?!?! I am the one and only Error, the only person you're afraid of, and no one else compares to me as your nemesis ! NO ONE !"
"...Well first, I'm not afraid of you, and second why are you so offend-"
Ink leaped to the left to dodge wave of red bones.
"Just stay still, and I'll show you that whoever you're looking for is not the only person capable of killing you."
Ink stared upwards at his rival. Error was too pissed off to even listen to him at this point. Trying any further would be a waste of time.
Let's go. said Inner-Ink.
And as the ray of a blaster was about to hit him, Ink vanished. Panting, furious, Error looked around for any sign of him, and spotted the incodes he had cornered earlier running away.
"HEY ! Where do you think you're goi-"
He tried to jump forward, but was pulled into the opposite position, and fell on his back. He turned around, and saw a blob of slimy paint holding his scarf stuck to a nearby wall of the cave, keeping him from moving and teleporting away. He let out a roar of rage.
