Inktobertale 2022 : Compilation of novels

24th of October : Abyss

   Like much of the information gathered in this collection, what is about to follow is an information with enough weight to change the course of the Multiverse forever. But what may discern this specific piece is the fact that, myself excluded, only one person across all existing universes and other realms knows it. The very person who is concerned by it. The protector of all AUs, Ink Sans. I will not expand over how I managed to learn this information, for it is not the goal of this codex. Simply be attentive to what follows.

There are two beings who fight for the title of strongest in the Multiverse, these being, of course, Error and Ink. But even the mightiest of creatures have their weaknesses. Ink's weakness is time. You may think "Oh, you mean his temporary emotions ? Everybody knows that ! And that doesn't make him any weaker !" And you'd be right. But you see, what if I told you that, outside of being necessary to make him feel, Ink's vials allow him to simply remain alive ?

You read that right. The first hours Ink spends emotionless are safe, but after a few days, his consciousness will start to degrade, he'll start mindlessly executing tasks. Have trouble simply forming thoughts. And soon he'll behave like a husk. Nothing but reflexes. Next thing you know, he stops moving. At all. Whatever position he found to be the most comfortable, he'll remain this way. And in the meantime, even though his feelings are looooooong gone, the paint, the multiversal essence which composes him and give him his aptitudes will keep getting scarcer and scarcer in his system. And I think you get what I'm implying. After three days, Ink will have no will left to get his emotions back. And then, it's only a matter of time, until he's so weak that he becomes killable. That's Ink's big secret. The one way to erase him for good. I know this because he only got so far twice. The first time, he was just about to be splashed with paint, which would change everything. And the second, the only thing that saved him, was meeting a certain being of pure positivity who would become his best friend.

I thought this paper quite inoffensive at first, but now I actually feel scared. I think I'll burn it tonight.
