THIRD PERSON'S POV
Sunghoon has never been desperate to see Jake again. He is very much sure that the person he saw in the rink the other day was Jake.
"You said you saw him hyung?"
In front of him was Sunoo, sipping the bubble tea that they bought.
"Yes."
"Then I'm sure you'll see him again."
Sunoo replies, reassuring Sunghoon. Even if the younger wanted to ask more details about this secret lover of Sunghoon, they all knew that it is Sunghoon's privacy.
They won't ask not until Sunghoon opens up to them.
"Thanks..."
Sunoo smiles.
"You know what hyung? Maybe you should spend more time in the rink then."
Sunghoon stops sipping on his drink.
"Huh?"
"You saw him there right? Then maybe he will come there again... You'll never know?"
Now why didn't Sunghoon thought of that. He stood up, even causing Sunoo to almost choke on his drink.
"You have a big point Sunoo-ah."
He taps the younger's shoulder.
"Thanks for the advice. I'm going there now."
Sunghoon smiled before he walked out of the cafe. Sunoo watches him, smiling.
"Mission accomplished?"
Ni-Ki popped out beside him.
"I guess so? You saw how he smiled right?"
Ni-Ki nodded.
"I hope Sunghoon hyung will meet that guy again."
Sunoo sighs.
"I know right? We don't know hyung that much but he really looks so empty..."
"I wish we could help him more... But that's the only thing that we can do."
Ni-Ki took a sip on his drink.
"If I could help hyung, I'll help him."
"Me too..."
Sunghoon, with his high hopes, started to stay in the rink a lot frequent than usual.
Sometimes he would bump into Heeseung, or even Jungwon as the two works in a different department in the building.
But even if there is no assurance that he will see Jake again there, Sunghoon continues to hope.
It is already a week, and yet Sunghoon's patience is still the same. Even if he want to give up, the thought of meeting Jake again keeps him going.
He gulps as he checks his time. The usual routine of his. Come to the rink at 2 pm and go home at 5.
He does nothing besides on skating a bit then staring into the door, hoping for Jake to show up.
When he's sure that he won't see any sigh anymore, Sunghoon nodded to himself and held his bag tight. He looks down as he mentally scolded himself.
'Well, let's try it again tomorrow.'
As if it could get any worse, he bumped into someone. The person literally dropped on the floor.
"Aw.."
Hearing him whine, Sunghoon hurriedly offered his hand.
"Gosh I'm sorry!!! I wasn't looking—"
He stopped when the person looked up.
Sunghoon can't put himself to talk. Jake either. They just stared at each other, like the very first time, only that this time, they're closer. And Sunghoon's hand is holding Jake's.
"Sorry."
Finally snapping to his thought, Sunghoon helps Jake stand up. He stops himself from wrapping his arm on his waist.
"No! It's my fault.. Sorry...."
Jake smiled. Sunghoon feels like he wants to cry.
"It's okay... I'm not looking to where I'm going anyway."
Sunghoon smiles. He followed Jake's gaze when he realized that he's still holding his hand. He immediately lets go.
He already misses the feeling.
Jake looked at him.
"I'm... I'm actually new here... So I don't know anyone..."
Sunghoon furrowed his eyebrows.
"Oh really? Sorry."
He offered his hand again. Thinking that Jake will take his time to accept. He was surprised when Jake held it back, almost immediately.
"I'm Sunghoon. Park Sunghoon."
"Oh. I'm Shim Jaeyun. But you can call me Jake."
Jake said the exact thing. Sunghoon can still remember it.
Sunghoon was too busy searching for something on his bag to notice the man crashing to him. The two fell on the floor.
"Oh!! I'm so so sorry!!"
Jake hurriedly helps Sunghoon to stand up.
"I'm sorry!!!"
Sunghoon looks at him and immediately finds Jake cute. He was biting his lips nervously, eyes searching for any possible scratches from Sunghoon.
"Are... Are you okay?"
Jake finally meets his eyes. Sunghoon feels like he's been knocked out.
"I'm fine."
He thanked himself for not stuttering. Jake smiled and offered his hand.
"Okay cool! May I know your name?"
Sunghoon accepts it and smiled back.
"Sunghoon. Park Sunghoon."
Jake smiled wider. Sunghoon adores how his eyes sparkled.
"I'm Shim Jaeyun. But you can call me Jake!"
