______

Introduction

In the aftermath of the tumultuous events in Kashmir, Ilsa and Ethan found themselves seated together in a softly illuminated room, burdened by the weight of the shared trials they had endured. The aftermath of their recent mission left indelible scars, and Ethan's injuries confined them to India, temporarily grounding their plans for departure. As they convalesced, the air hung heavy with the resonance of their experiences, and their discourse naturally shifted toward contemplation of the future, a yearning for a life beyond the chaos they had become accustomed to.

For Ilsa, the preceding two years of clandestine existence had exacted a toll on her psyche. A profound sense of isolation and weariness enveloped her, a stark departure from anything she had known before. The journey had been arduous—captured in Florence by MI6, compelled to confront an ultimatum: assassinate Lane or resign herself to a life behind bars.

The reappearance of Ethan and his team on her trail intensified Ilsa's disquiet. Aware that, apart from Ethan, none of them harbored trust in her, a pang of unease gripped her heart when Ethan pursued her in Paris. It dawned on her that this might be her sole opportunity to rid the world of Lane, the architect of immense suffering. The urgency to act before Ethan intercepted her and disrupted her plans became paramount.

The confrontation with Lane left Ilsa physically and emotionally spent. Witnessing Benji, a friend she had grown fond of, teetering on the brink of death, oxygen diminishing, while she was bound to a chair with a noose around her neck, added an emotional toll to her already battered state. She knew she had to rescue Benji before Lane extinguished his life, summoning every ounce of strength to ensure success.

Now alone, traversing the rugged mountains near the recently saved village, Ethan was conscious, and the tender, fleeting moment they had shared lingered in Ilsa's thoughts. Despite the pain in her back, she pushed it aside, resolving to address her physical injuries later. Her immediate priority was to find solace for her weary soul.

Wandering through the wilderness, Ilsa's mind drifted to the myriad missions she had undertaken and the comrades she had lost while in the service of MI6. She reflected on the inescapable position they had thrust her into, utilizing her skills to infiltrate a terrorist organization. Ilsa, far from naive, had known from the outset that this path wouldn't be an easy one.

Suppressing the disconcerting notion of a new world order championed by her former superiors, Ilsa found herself grappling with its growing allure. Although she vehemently disagreed with their radical ideas, the passage of time made it increasingly difficult to dismiss such thoughts entirely. Recollections of the countless hours spent gaining Lane's trust and the substantial effort invested in the mission flooded her mind. But then, the unexpected encounter with Ethan Hunt and his team altered the course of everything. Ilsa remained forever indebted to him, even if it meant carrying the weight of her tumultuous past on her shoulders.

Part 1 - Sunset

As I am lost in my thought thinking of everything that had happened this few last days, I watch the sunset.

I always told myself that has long I can see a sunset either a sun rising my life can go on.

Has difficult has I can be in a situation. It force me in a way to keep some hope.

My hope to find in this field is Ethan Hunt. The first time we met he was an egnima and so was I for him.

Now things have changed and we both start to know each other.

Sometimes, I feel like we are dancing on a tight rope ready to broke at any moment, especially after Paris.

His generous, caring more about others life than his but he doesn't know me.

Helping Luther and Benji have been a really fun experienced I got to admit it to myself but the good things always has an end.

Part 2 - Memories of an old life

I will always remember the day when M asked me to go undercover to uncover the Syndicate and Solomon Lane.

If I'm honest with myself, I often got lost in the role of an undercover agent. Even Lane sensed it.

That afternoon in the cemetery in London, when he asked me why I couldn't let go, I knew he saw through me.

I couldn't let go—how could I? Lane is a terrorist, and I was working for my country.

But my once beloved country disavowed me. I still hate Atlee for what he did to me.

Fortunately, I met Ethan Hunt and his team. But they won't be there forever, and neither will I.

Conclusion

I was still lost in my thoughts and starring at the sky as I heard a voice that makes me out of my mind.

« Ilsa? » Benji ask me behind my back and I smile at that.

It's been a long time since I didn't have partners or just people to interact with.

Might be the beginning of something new.

____

This is the end of the chapter super short I know. I'm going to be better at writing I promise.

Also this is my first story and it is about the Mission Impossibles movies. The timeline is the end of Fallout and it should followed the movie Dead Reckoning. . I have seen the movie finally in August in theater and I wanted to make justice for Ilsa Faust. I loved her so much. And I am rewriting each chapter a little bit better. Hope you enjoy and thank you so much for reading it!

(I am rewriting this story because I am not satisfied of the way it turned and I can't write new chapters so I hope you'll like it and thank you to whoever is reading).
