Mom, Dad, and Pete went to counciling weekly. I stayed home when they went. A week after my last counciling session I showed up to school and I walked to my locker. I saw Lacey and she looked mad. I asked her what was up and then she started.
" How could you! I am your best friend! How could you lie to me! I would have understood. Do you not trust me?! Are yoiu keeping more secrets?!" yelled Lacey
" How could I what?" I asked
" Don't play innocent with me here you know exactly what I am taliking about!" yelled Lacey
People were starting to look at the both of us.
Suddenly, it hit me like a ton of bricks. She knew. Someone had found out and told her. Great! I bet everyone knows. I bet it is all over the internet. All of a sudden I felt like everyone was watching me.
" How did you find out?" I whispered.
" Why do you need to know? I know and you know what happened, now." Lacey said.
" Who told you. This is my family we are talking about I need to know. Don't go acting like that, that, that way. It's how you always get. I swear I don't know what's bigger your ego or your mouth" I said
"OOOHHH" the kids who were in the hall said.
"Okay I will tell you, with my big mouth. One day yoiur parents called my house. They just wanted to talk. I heard the entire conversation, from you gaining 5 pounds, to Pete stealing something. I thought they were pranking me. So, I asked they said that it was entirely true, nothing was a joke. I ran to my room. I was mad at you. I was going to call you or text you, I had to do it in person." said Lacey
" I did not tell you because..." that was all i got to say before Lacey cut me off.
" You did not tell me amd that alone is enogh to make a person mad. You lied when I asked you if i could go to your house you said no, because you had stuff to do. Another thing that you hid from me. Now why don't you go apply to the local drivethrough." Lacey said.
" I am sorry, okay. You wold not have understood. I just was not ready to tell anyone." I said
Tears had welled up in my eyes, I wanted this fight to be over. I wanted everything to go back to the way they were.
" I would have understood. I guess when your brother is a delinquent it affects your judgement." said Lacey
I said nothing I was out of comebacks. She had gone too far this time. Everyone had heard. I ran down the hallway, as hot tears rolled out of my eyes and down my cheek.
