After Dominique and Trinity left yesterday I really didn't know what to do with myself, so I decided on making new recipes. I fail a multitude of times and had my kitchen looking like it had been attacked before I got the consistency, texture and flavoring just right.
But it was 5:15 by the time that happened so I had to rush through my shower and drive like a manic to reach the shop in time to start baking.

"Boss man is late? I knew I was dying tomorrow" one of my bakers said making the other two, along with himself, laugh while I rolled my eyes.
I have a total of six bakers, three of them work from 6:00 in the morning to 12:30 and the other three work from 12:30 to 6:00 in the evening, but they usually switch shifts every two weeks.

"You're the only person I know who laughs at their own jokes" I said making them chuckle

"So, how's the pretty lady from the other day?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about" I replied before opening the back door for us while they chuckle

"So you weren't blushing like a manic while Elga was fuming?"

"Whose Elga?" I asked

"Uh Sofia"

"You named her Elga" I said before laughing

"It seemed fitting"

"That is an insult to Elga" I said making them and myself laugh. We began our usual baking routine and after helping out a bit, I went to the front to remove the chairs from the tables switch on the lights and opened the door as the rest of my staff walked in

"Morning boss" my assistant said

"Morning" I replied relieved to see her back from her maturity leave

"I'm glad I've been missed" she said with an amused face

"Nope, he's just happy Elga won't be in his office anymore, who made her our manager anyway?"

"Like Elga would listen to anyone of us"

"Let me guess" my assistant said
"Elga is Sofia"

"That is correct, and your prize is office duty" I said making her gasp

"I don't wanna be stuck in an offi... wait, why do you wanna work the front?" she asked me

"He has a crush!" someone shouted making me sigh

"My baby has grown so much" she said wiping a none existent tear

"Alright, all of you mind your business and do what you're paid to do" I said while walking toward my office

"You mean betting on how long it takes Elga to annoy you?"

"Work, now" I said but heard laughter as a response.

"So..."

"Not you too" I said making Mrs Andrews, my assistant, laugh

"I haven't said anything yet" she said still laughing

"It's nothing"

"Oh, you better believe Ima check out the woman that's got Elga on her toes" she said making me wonder how I managed to hire such nosy people. I watched her walk out my office and got started with my nonexistent paperwork. It was around 7:30 when my door opened and Miss Swan walked in

"Morning Dammy"

"Good morning Miss Swan, shouldn't you be working?" I asked her

"Uh yeah, I just wanted to che..."
