I did half expect Nathaniel to not text me or text me to ask about Trinity but he hasn't. Not once in the three weeks since I gave him my number that night at his shop, has he ever made me feel like the other woman or like I'm the third wheel. He took Trinity out on their first date two weeks ago and this man blushed so hard when he came to pick her up. I've said it once and I'll say it again, this man is way too big to be cute.

"Dumplings" Romeo said

"Mmh with some sweet and sour pork" Raven added making everyone else agree

"Whose buying?"

"I got breakfast" I said then looked at the trash can
"The first one anyway"

"It's lunch now"

"Isn't your boyfriend coming over with food?"

"I'll never share his food with any of you animals" I said making them chuckle

"She didn't deny him being her boyfriend"

"I... go to hell" I said as my cheeks turned pink while they laughed harder

"Hello Hello" the man in question said walking into the room
"What's wrong?"

"They're bullying me" I said making him wrap his arms around me, another thing he started doing. He started bringing me lunch every day with a big ass snack, holding my hand in public, and hugging me whenever I'm within arms reach. I was weirded out by it at first but it did feel good to be held by someone this big

"Should I punch them?" he asked as I stuffed my face into his chest

"I dmmm sass uyog ykibf drwuty" I said into his chest

"Repeat that please" he said pulling my face out of heaven with a smirk

"I don't want your hands to be dirty" I said making him chuckle

"Whatever you say" he replied making me roll my eyes as my ears turned pink. I think spending time with this man has turned me into him

"Feed me" I said making him snort but hand me my food. He did offer to cook for the guys as well but I told him that they can cook, and I can't, so if they wanted to they could.

"I'll see you later" he said then kissed my forehead another thing he started doing, which I like.

"Say hi to Nevada for me" I said making him hum, kiss my cheek and leave
"A single word out of any of you and I'll kill you"

They didn't say anything, which is a good thing because I do believe I would have hurt whoever commented on my newfound fondness for Nathaniel's touches. Raven was sent out to buy their food while I happily munched on the food I was made by the gentle giant.
It feels nice to be taken care of.

"Any progress on the case?" the captain asked walking into our temporary office. Aah, I remember when he realized that the woman who embarrassed him in front of his fanboys is the same woman leading the group of detectives he wants out of his town, little did he know we are here to stay.

"If you stopped checking in every hour maybe we'd make some" Richard replied then ate a dumpling

"I wouldn't have to check in every hour if you'd just keep me in the loop" he said glaring at Richard

"Why would we keep you in the loop of our investigation?" I asked while resisting the urge to lick my plate

"Because I'm the captain of the police department and this case is being investigated in my building"
