Chapter 9: Frenemies

Vlad POV)

After a couple of days later of dealing with wolf spirit and his crew,Vlad could see that the wolf was still persistent and trying to help Angel any way that he could, he promised that he would tell Vlad anything that he needed but Vlad only threw away these letters as he believed only information that he wanted was to be around his wife

But lately, vlad noticed that his wife has been acting strangely and started to search for her, he headed to the Garden to see if she was there since that is her normal hiding ground, he saw his Sons playing together with a ball but didn't see Angel anywhere

"Boys, have you seen your mother?"

He asked his sons as they both pointed to the willow tree that seemed to be hiding something, he walked up to the willow tree and tried to take a look but he couldn't see anything

"Angel! I know that you're up there please come down"

He called to her but there was no response, he moved to the side of the willow tree to see if he could get a better angle at what was up there, he wasn't sure but he did see something balled up within the vines of the willow tree

"Angel, there's no point in hiding I know that you're up there, come down or else I'll make you come down"

He called up to her once again as the vines itself unraveled themselves from whatever that was hiding, Vlad saw that angel was balled up in her wings as it opened up revealing herself not in her kid form but in her adult form

He smiled at himself as she looked down at him, it was almost like finding a treasure within a willow tree, he held out his hand to her offering to help her down but because she was so high up she refused the offer

"Angel?"

He let his hands fall down to the sides as he looked up at her, he could clearly see there was something wrong but she wasn't going to tell him willingly so he floated up to the branch up high where she was sitting, she avoided his gaze

"Mind telling me what's the problem?"

He asked her as she kept her gaze away from him not answering, he cupped her face forcing her to look at him as her aquamarine eyes landed on his Crimson eyes

"What's wrong my love?"

"I know you're going to be mad at me but I don't want to hurt them"

She said upset he didn't understand what she was talking about

"Those people that have me on a bounty that want me dead, their old comrades of mine and I don't think I could bring myself to kill them"

She said as he can tell that this was bothering her, Vlad knew that she wasn't a killer and that she was now hiding to protect herself and probably to stay out of trouble as mostly what she would have done was try to go and talk to her comrades

"Angel you have nothing to fear, they can't get you here in Yuki oni"

He said pulling her in for a kiss but she pulled away

"Says you, I just don't know what I can do to help wolf anymore since you won't allow us to communicate, so I'm just going to do everyone a favor and just disappear"

She said as she clamped herself up in her six wings and the vines wrapped themselves around her again

"Honey, you can't just hide away for the rest of your life, what about your kids?"

He asked her but she said nothing, Vlad landed back on the ground and looked over to his sons that were still playing with the ball

"Keiichi, Kenshin"
