Dead Love

Chapter 3

Lili ran back upstairs to get Matthew. When she got up there she found him sitting beside his sister's lifeless body crying. When he saw his mom he started continuously saying how sorry he was. If he hadn't fallen asleep Liliana would still be alive. Lili hurried over to him and tried to tell him it wasn't his fault. She said that if he was awake when it happened he might have been killed too. All of a sudden they heard the door slam downstairs. Lili told Matthew to go hide while she went to see who it was. She looked over the banister and saw Cornelia walking into the house. Lili hurried back to the bedroom and hid from her. She could hear Cornelia walking around so she was as quiet as she could be. Cornelia started up the stairs calling Lili's name. When she reached the bedroom after gasping when she saw Liliana's body she walked over to the closet where Matthew was hiding. She then started walking towards the bed where Lili was quietly hiding and hoping that Cornelia would leave. Unlucky for her Cornelia got on all fours and looked under the bed. She asked Lili what she was doing. Lili didn't answer and attempted to crawl out through the opposite side of the bed. Cornelia walked around to where Lili was laying halfway under the bed. Cornelia reached down and pulled her the rest of the way out. Lili attempted to get out of Cornelia's grip and run but she knew it wasn't gonna work so she gave up.
