He woke up with the worst headache Bakugou could possibly ever think of. Though at least it got him out of work since he never felt like going in the first place. Midoriya was nowhere to be seen, not like Bakugou had even moved from his bed yet. Then a door opened and closed, a few slow footsteps wandered about the apartment before opening the bedroom door. The blonde stared and only stared – Midoriya smiled at him with a gentle grin, "Do you want me to make you breakfast?"
Bakugou shot up from his bed and stumbled to his feet, Midoriya catching him as he fell forward, "You ain't touchin my fucking kitchen."
"R-right.", he remembered the disaster of that time and how annoyed the blonde was, he'd rather not have a repeat but he could make decent toast, "Hotaru is at school now."
"...thanks.", Bakugou muttered as he trudged to his kitchen, "Do you want anything?'
Midoriya thought as he wandered up behind the blonde, resting his chin on his head, "I have to go on patrol in like thirty minutes."
The blonde spun around and whacked him, "Then why haven't you gone?! Go! It takes you thirty minutes to even fucking get there!"
"But, Kacchan–, aren't you ill?", Midoriya received yet another smack though it was in his shoulder and it was lighter than his previous, not that they had hurt much anyway.
"Go!", Bakugou grumbled screwing up his face and chasing the other out the door and throwing a sandwich that had been left in the fridge for his lunch, he would've taken it to work if he was going, at him as he did so.
"Do you want me to buy you anything?!"
"Just go!"
Midoriya left with another grin though, frankly, he hadn't stopped smiling since he walked in. He wondered if Bakugou would be okay by himself, though thinking about it now, he probably would be.
Once arriving to work, he hummed a tune whilst he strolled to his locker to get changed. Many looked at him as he did, though it was normal when he was in a happy mood, recently his face had been full of anxiety to the point he came to work scowling. So naturally, they were curious as to what made him switch moods so suddenly.
Naturally he was happy, Bakugou had said yes. He had finally mustered up the courage to say it and it was not in vain – though part of him thought he did not deserve such a thing. To him, Bakugou was much braver and much stronger than him. Raising a child on his own, giving up on his dream to do that and managing to stay the same throughout was something he could never do. Though in a way it reminded him of his mum.
Speaking of, he was visiting his mum at the weekend. Maybe he should ask Bakugou if he wanted to come to?
"What's got you in a cheery mood, Deku?", it was Hori, though formally known as Reciprocate in the hero society. She was a first year at UA, so she was only an intern. Deku had promised her that he would go on patrol with her so that it what he was doing.
"Aha... I'm always like this what are you talking about?", Deku laughed, "And why are you in the mens changing room?"
"I'm not, I'm outside. You're the one who left the door open.", she shrugged before, "It's not like you've started getting changed yet, you're too busy grinning at your feet. It's creepy."
"Creepy—", Midoriya was a little offended by that. Though it did sound disturbing.
"Hurry up, we're late on leaving.", she smiled happily before closing the door herself. He got changed as quickly as he could, though making sure to take his wallet with him in case he saw anything in the stores Bakugou might want.
It was an ordinary day, it was a lot calmer now than when he was in first year and thank god for that. Back then, it was stressful and even when second year came around the stress only dimmed a bit. He used to get into fights with Bakugou a ton in first year, though he could admit that it was a step up from being terrified every time he saw the blonde. If his sixteen year old self saw him now, he probably wouldn't believe it.
